No cable for connection / no manual or instruction
There was no cable included to connect my PC to the printer so I had to use the old cable from my old printer and it is still not connecting and now I have to go to Walmart for a cable and hope it works. Since I only go to the city once a month, it makes for a long wait to hopefully get my new printer working. There were no instructions either.

    I purchased this printer with some hesitation as I had read a few reviews regarding wifi set-up problems. But I did my homework by first making sure the printer model would work with my PC's operating system and I then downloaded the drivers necessary. All of that info was easily found on the Canon website. The set-up instructions that came with the printer were all I needed to have the printer communicating with my PC, laptop and smart phone. It's been working fine and has many features I'm still exploring. The price is excellent.

    The printer is very good but the instructions to set it up are mainly for Windows and Mac. I have a Chromebook.

    Good product with poor support.
    Printer works fine, but had some problems with setup. Called support number, and the were extremely unhelpful, told me i couldn't do a factory reset, to return the printer back for refund. Youtube was helpful in resolving all my issues, and was printing a few minutes later.

    One of the most reprehensible pieces of trash I've ever purchased.
    In the year I've had this printer, it's connected to my computer ONE time correctly via WiFi -- and the scale of the print was wrong. It now refuses to connect again, so I destroyed it and the sweet release of its violent demise is the only thing it's done right. Do not buy this. Shame on you, Canon.

    Not enough choices
    This is the second printer of this model that I have bought. I purchased it only because the previous printer used cartridge canon 240 and 241, which I had a surplus stock on hand and few other Canon printers used these cartridges. Otherwise I would have bought a different printer.

    WORST SETUP PROCESS EVER...
    I am an avid tech user, and this has to be the worst user experience i have ever had. the setup guides are a joke, and the online support is even worse. Took me 2 hours to get it setup and working. WOULD RECOMMEND not buying his printer!!!! Canon should fire everyone in their user experience group for allowing this to be produced and sold.

    Wifi setup is horrible
    (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Wifi setup is not as straightforward as the instruction, when the WiFi is encrypted with password.. I spent 2 hours to set it right

    So so.
    Generally straightforward and good quality. But the setup of wireless connectivity is ridiculously complicated - must be an easier way. And this one replaced an old one that lasted less than two years - fell victim to a fatal paper jam and never worked after that.
