Just a really bad deal.
I would not recommend this item based on the cost vs. actually item. It is basically a thicker piece of foam crate encased in a zipped up rectangular bag. It cost more than the frame, and the bedding put together. The advertisement says it is memory foam, it isn't..it is however foam crate (like the type a moving company would use to move large pieces of furniture) The instructions said it would need time to let the air seep back into the foam after shipping. So, I waited a week, and it still hasn't risen past 4 inches instead of the 5 advertised. Oh, and the dang thing keeps trying to slide off the bed. In short, the cost of this item vs. what you actually get, makes this a very poor item.

This is not a 5" thick foam mattress.
As others mentioned, this is not the thickness as advertised. I unwrapped the foam as soon as it arrived and allowed it to sit in a spare room for over a week before I measured the thickness. This is less than 4" thick. It is a 1" piece of "Memory" foam glued to a thick piece of egg crate foam. I bought this to use as a sleeping pad in the back of my truck for camping. I had previously used a Thermarest pad, and it was an improvement. The Foam mattress cost the same amount as the Thermarest which was $80.. I had also previously used an air mattress. My truck bed is only 5'7" so I knew I had to cut this down in length. That was easy, using an electric knife. Like Buuta ! It will serve its purpose, but I would not buy this as an everyday bed. Not even for a child. It was the cheapest piece of foam I could buy for the purpose I am attending to use it for.

    Not twin sized!
Like others said it is NOT a twin size. I am guessing the extra long option is regulation twin. But its is comfortable. Now lets see how long it lasts. Mine has been left for over 48 hours and it is 6 inches to short!

    Best bed foundation ever made!
Bed was very easy to put together and you don't need any tools. Bed is sturdy and will last for many years. I bought a memory foam matress to put on it. It's by far the most comfortable bed.

    Wonder! Amazing!
I am probably not the right person to review this item since it is earmarked for children. I am a full grown woman and somewhat overweight. Twenty years ago I paid more than I ever thought I would for a bed because I planned for it to last for years, and it has, Twenty years of aches, pains and misery that I never attributed to the mattress, It was only recently that I put the two together when sleeping on another bed while visiting. I have only had my new "child's" mattress for a short time (placed it on top of the other) and it is like a miracle. It is also upsetting to know that I went through all that pain because of a mattress. I am totally amazed at the difference it has made for me. I can only imagine what it would do for the children, for which, it is intended. If this is their first mattress they will never need to know what true pain (from sleeping the wrong mattress for extended time) can be. There are still a few problems. I had to place it over the old mattress; otherwise, it is the three bears syndrome---without the other mattress, it is too low, with the mattress it is too high. But once on the mattress it is nothing but comfort. Anyway, my only regret is it took so long to find a relief from the daily agony. No one ever sujected my physical problems could be mattress related, not even my doctor. The need for pain med stopped completely by the third day. Believe it or not, I did major editing to shorten this review. To date it is the most satisfied I hae been with any item I have ever purchased to date and I am so overjoyed any telling of this mattress is verbose and glowing. I am one newly happy mattress lover.

This is a great and firm mattress, the only issue is it didnt fit completely into bed frame its a bit smaller so now there is a gap on the side between daybed and mattress. It also didnt puffed all the way, ao instead of 5” it stayed at anout a little over 3”

    Not the correct dimensions
We put this mattress on our daughters bunk bed and the about section stated it was 74 inches in length. When we measured the mattress because it did not fit properly it was almost 72 inches. This now looks silly and leaves gaps on her top bunk. Why say your product is 74 inches when it is not!

    Poor quality
We. Ought one of these for each of our children and they have not lasted even a year. The covers are all coming apart at the seams, they ball up terribly and they do not keep moister off the mattress like they claim.

    AWESOME MATTRESS!!!
I bought this mattress because it came with the bed I was buying my 5 year old daughter. To be honest after reading all the reviews I was really worried about it but it's really comfortable! I don't hesitate laying down with my daughter when it's time to read a book or just cuddle her to sleep. I would definitely order one again!

    Very thin memory foam section
This mattress doesn't have a thick enough layer of memory foam to even retain the properties of said foam when you lay on it. It's decent enough, as long as you're NOT expecting to receive a memory foam mattress.

    I made the right choice!
After searching for a bed for my son online for months and months I finally came upon this. Not only did the bed come with a mattress, but it was memory foam! I have yet to stumble upon a deal as good as this!

    Great mattress
I was nervous to purchase this mattress because it was only a 5" and I'd read in other reviews that it comes rolled up in plastic and shipped in a box. Well, I was pleasantly surprised that it works great and my four children say they are very comfortable to sleep on. My husband even slept on it to see how it help up and he says it's comfortable also! If you plan to use this mattress on a twin bed without a box spring, it is slippery and does not stay in place all too well, but it does okay.

Very Thin but ok for a child who is under 60-70lbs
I didnt expect much for the price but lets just say we had to go buy another mattress and are using this one for sleepovers. Very thin and placed on the metal bars, not so comfortable.

This was a great find! The mattress measures slightly smaller than the bed it was sold with (Brooklyn frame) but it was a great value. It comes rolled up in a box, so it takes a few days to "fluff up" to full thickness, but it my daughter loves it. She has been sleeping better and longer at night, which is a great indication that she likes it! The mattress is thinner than a traditional twin, so the twin sheets are a little big, but once you get everything tucked in it works just fine. The material that covers the foam mattress hugs the sheets, so it makes up for the difference in size.
