2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/05/2023not for gold fish! and do not use the rocks!do not use the rocks!!!! the bowl itself is great. nice thick glass. this fish bowl set says gold fish.. comes with goldfish food as well. however after getting a gold fish and struggling to keep it alive we researched a little online and learned this bowl is not big enough for a gold fish. the water needs changed every 24 hrs or she starts to fade away. super bummed and a little upset that a product can be advertised for something specific when a simple google search confirms it is not suitable for that purpose. like heres a bike! square tires come with it!! then you end up using the frame and getting round tires. once our fish finally fades out for good.. we will get an appropriate fish for the bowl.Lori

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/29/2023Great bowl! This bowl was perfect for our Berta and snails! We didn’t use the toxic rocks or the plant that came with it but the net is good and the bowl holds live plants and the rocks. I was a little disappointed that the water drops were only a sample, I was expecting a bottle but it’s just a little bag. I’m still using it and it was still a good price overall.Eamuller

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/24/2022Not meant to be...Don't know who came up with it being okay for any fish to live in a bowl. Betta fish should have at least a 5 gallon with a small filter, goldfish needs at least 30 gallons to START with. This is why most fish die within less than a year or two. They suffer. My goldfish is 8 years old and lives in a 60 gallon with one pleco and looking into bigger tank for them since they have out grown it these last 2 years. Please do research on whatever fish you are interested in before buying. Spend about 30 min. You'll be surprised on what is neededDanielle

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/08/2022Please read!! Do not buy this productA fish bowl such as this one is extremely unethical and will drastically reduce the fish's lifespan, as it does not have the proper space to live healthily. Take 30 seconds to do a Google search and you'll see the overwhelming amount of evidence.michelle

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/09/2022Please dont put anything in this. Its not okay. Please never ever put anything in this besides plants. Its way to small for ANYTHING besides them. Your fish did not love it, they were not happy. Bettas dont belong in this. Goldfish dont belong in this. Please do your research before you get this just because its small and cheap. Do better.Lizzie

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/21/2009Perfect Starter Fish BowlI bought this kit for my son's first fish. We didn't want anything with a pump or filter...just something simple. This kit literally had everything we needed to start off with a goldfish. All we had to do was buy this and then buy the fish! It came with a small net, a packet of goldfish food (which we are still working on weeks later), a packet of chlorine neutralizer for tap water (with the amount we have to use for this 1 gallon bowl, this pack will last us for at least a 5 or 6 complete water changes), a plant, and painted rocks to go on the bottom. The plant was very tall (taller than the depth of the bowl), so we unsnapped the top segments of it). We liked the bowl because it is flat on the sides, and, unlike the round bowls, we could see the fish clearly, without everything looking "distorted." I wouldn't recommend this bowl for more than one fish, though. The rule is one inch of fish per gallon of water (and although some people are mistaken about this, this means the length of the fish NOT including the tail. Most small fish will be about one inch). All in all, the set was about $8, and the fish was 15 cents...not an expensive gift for my son at all!Leajer
