Slippery surface even with tread pattern
I got this version because of the tread pattern thinking it would improve grip for heavier slam balls. The surface plastic is almost slick so the tread pattern really doesn't make much of a difference. Add sweaty hands and these balls are hard to handle. After heavy use the surface may rough up some making the grip improve.

    The j/fit Dead Weight Slam Ball is exactly as described. Good feel in the hands and works great for slam ball or as smaller wallball. I've only used it for just over a month, but the quality seems good and has been solid so far!

    Great!
    They managed to fit 50 lbs in a very small ball. It's smaller than my old 20 lb Title Boxing slam ball. So far it's a lot of fun. We'll see if it holds up over time.
