    Reliable
    I have had this Rhino rod paired with Shimano FX reel as my go to for the last 4 years. It has not failed me once. I have caught all kinds of basses(small/large, sand/white and striped) up to 12lbs without any failure. The only minor issue is the line sometimes gets stuck to the hook holder when casting. Otherwise, this is an excellent reliable rod. Can't beat the price/quality.

    great for what I need
    I'll start by saying I'm not a fisherman. my gf wanted to start and while I love the outdoors and hike and all that, fishing with poles has never been my thing. But, this pole and the other we got as well as the reels were perfect for what we wanted to do. simple and strong. so far has withstood the abuse of two amateurs who don't know what they are doing. we're having fun. :)

    Filters on Web Page useless...
    I cannot give this a fair rating. I did not use it. It was supposed to be a "Bait Casting" Rod. I searched for a "Casting" Rod not "Spinning" Rod and this one came up. I used the "Filters" provided on the left side of the pages to narrow my search down "Casting" Rods and this rod came up. I bought it and when I got it I realized the error. So beware using the Filters to find what you are looking for. By the way...there is a "Filter" option for "Spinning" Rods. I have many Rhino Rods...they are all good. Oh by the way....Spin Cast Reels are my last choice in Reels and I own 2 of them. Bait Casting is the way to go.

    this is no good for spinning but very good for a spincast rod I've caught all sorts of panfish with this rod paired with a Shakespeare spincast real.
