Awesome for a first or anyone fishing pole.
Bought these for my kids who had never been fishing. They were able to cast really well with them and they don't take up much space when packing. Very happy with the product especially for the price.

For the grandkids
I wanted to buy this for my granddaughter because she was using my 51/2 foot spincasting rod to learn on and it seemed a bit too long for her,she is eight,and this combo fits her perfect,she can cast much easier now. I striped the line off and put fresh 4lb. zebco Omni-flex on it and it casts awesome.We haven't had the chane to get out and use it but it seems it will handle things just fine.Very happy with combo for 10 dollars.

    Well made and good fit for small hands
    Bought this for my sons (4 year old) first fishing trip. It did very well for his small hands and also worked well for me when he got tired of no bites. Not sure about if we had a fish but it seems sturdy and well made, Zebco has always been our go to brand.

    Great for community ponds and traveling
    Great price and amazing rod. I caught a 6 lb channel catfish with it. It was a fight but I won. Of course I recommend net to pull it out. I didn't have the net last time and one of the big catfish broke my line.

    They named that right.
    We bought two Dock Demons on a whim because of the price. It has been the perfect arrangement on our pontoon boat where long cast are seldom tried. We fish "straight line" and these are the right length. The grandkids fight over them, so we are getting four more.

    Great rod to begin with
    I actually said that the shakespear durango is my first fishing rod but I've got this 1 and the shakespear at the same time. This rod is a beast. You cannot beat the price and I've caught some really nice fish with it. I would definitively buy one more if this stays good and break or damage after a while. I would recommend for everyone especially for beginners.

    Great little Rod & Reel
    I go out to a Fish Camp nearly every weekend where I stay in my 5th Wheel. I'll spend several hours a day just sitting at the dock and fishing. I like to fish close to the pilings, and this fishing setup is perfect, or if I want to cast out several yards, no problem. Only had a minor problem with the reel when I first tried to use it. The line was stuck inside the reel case, so I had to unscrew the reel case and free the line. I've caught several good sized catfish and brim since buying this item.

    Great Fun and LIVE Action!
    I got this combo because I wanted a rod that I could take anywhere even on my bike (see pics). I was please to find that it works great. I have caught a lot of nice bass with this combo and the action on this ultra-lite is awesome. It may take a little getting used to such a small rod when casting but it was not to difficult. The quality of the combo depends on how you treat it. The rod is pretty strong. The reel is mostly plastic and a few metal parts so don't thrash it around too much. I haven't restrung the reel and have only had minimal tangles. Price and fun make this a great value.

    When I picked up my site to store product both of the poles were completely sealed in the box. Of course the lady at the desk opened the box so I was sure that was the product I ordered. Thank goodness she did both of the poles were broken and both of the reels were missing. Please Please if your ordering from Wal-Mart.com have the clerk open your package and inspect it. Fortunately the poles I ordered online happened go be in stock in the store that day( hadn't been in weeks) and I was aloud to exchange the broken poles for 2 poles in the store for the online price. As for the poles they work great perfect for ice fishing!!! Great purchase after everything was said and done-!
