Couldn't live without the Kinect
I love interacting with the Xbox using Kinect. It is by far the fastest and most intuitive way to jump around and snap games, apps and TV channels without having to click through lots of menus. Almost every function of the Xbox One makes use of Kinect in some way. I have become so used to using commands that I have to remind myself when I'm at a TV without Kinect that there is no voice control. I have an extremely loud air conditioner next to my TV and somehow the Kinect can still hear and understand me about 85-90% of the time. The way Kinect can control your cable box, TV, and AV receiver is amazing. The one bit of criticism I have is that you have to be precise with the commands or it will not work, hopefully future updates will allow more leeway. For example you have to say "Xbox Turn Off" as opposed to just "Xbox Off" or it won't work. This functionality should hopefully get better when they bring the Cortana voice recognition to the Xbox. I also love using the Kinect for Xbox Fitness which is a free app on Xbox One with premium workouts from well known brands (P90x, Insanity, Zumba, Jillian Michaels), Mossa is the best though. The Skype app is also really impressive with a virtual cameraman that follows the individuals you are chatting with as they move around. The Kinect instantly signs in the appropriate family member, sometimes faster than the TV can even power on. There are lots of fun casual games for Kinect like Dance Central, Fruit Ninja, and Kinect Sports. Though games that support Kinect functionality ("better with Kinect") aren't really labeled anymore there are actually a lot of them already, especially for Sports and RPGs (most EA games have Kinect voice support for example). Some games like Alien Isolation and Dead Rising 3 also use the Kinect to alert enemies to your position. I could go on telling how much I use the Kinect, even love using the gestures to navigate apps when I can't find the controller or its not nearby. As the title says I don't think I could live without this device it really is a must have if you own an Xbox One. Whether you have a family, have your TV service connected to Xbox, chat with relatives over Skype, are interested in getting in shape or even if you broadcast your gaming sessions over Twitch there are a million reasons to get the Kinect.

Kinect 4 stars
Xbox one kinect is a huge improvement from the xbox 360 kinect. Xbox one kinect has voice commands and automatic sign in. I give it 4 stars because it is unresponsive at times and sometimes you need to yell for it to hear you otherwise it's awesome. IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN XBOX ONE All ready buy the kinect bundle for $490 you will save time buy ordering the kinect bundle rather than them separate. Otherwise it is a great add on with dance central spotlight you get a great work out A MUST TO BUY

    Son Loves Kinect
We love having the Kinect sensor for the xbox one. It's simple to set up and easy to use. It is very sensitive though, it can be a good or bad thing. It picks up every move. We purchased Shape Up game as well.

    Works pretty well
Works pretty good. Great camera and picks up motion real well. Only issue I have is in it picking up voice commands. Doesn't seem to like my voice unless I yell. May just need recalibrated though. Otherwise works as intended.

    Great product
The best part of the Xbox one Kinect is that you become the remote for most things. I walk in to my room say "Xbox. On" and it turns on. I get the controller turn it on and say "Xbox. Play call of duty" and it will show my games and allow me to choose which one or if you are more precise l, "play black ops 3" and boom it's there. It can recognize your voice and sign you in after you use it for a bit as it studies you. It's an awesome addition to any game console. It's a bit spendy by itself but if you can get an Xbox One bundle with t included it's way nice

    My kids love it.
This is a great way to get kids to have fun and get exercise at the same time. My kids have been using it non-stop to dance along with dancers on the screen, and they haven't gotten this much exercise in ages. My only critique is that the built in microphone, through which you can issue voice commands to the xbox system, is not great, and you typically have to speak in a loud voice or even yell to ensure your command will be received.

    just what I needed!
The only real reason I wanted the Kinect was so I could get the dance central game. How convenient they came together!! The kinect itself takes time to get used to with the commands, but after you get comfortable with it, it's great! The Dance Central game is the only reason I didn't give it another star. You have to continually play the songs in order to get out of the basic moves...which doesn't take long but I like to jump right into it.

    xBox one Kinect
Recently moved to the state of Florida leaving beloved family behind. The xBox one Kinect camera was a true blessing. I was able to "SKYPE" with my family back home. We spent Thanksgiving together. What a terrific product. I'm so glad that I purchased this item as a gift for my family. Would recommend it to everyone. It made my empty heart feel alive again.

    Interesting product
I bought this for my fiance as a gift. He had been talking about it nonstop and ended up not being as thrilled as expected once he got it. At the end of the day it's just a camera that you scream at to make it click things for you that would be faster to click manually with the controller. Wal-marts shipping was excellent though!

    Xbox One Kinect review
How it looks: The way it looks hasn't changed from the original 360 form, as it's detail is noticeably the same. However, it is more of a bigger console; Measuring 13.1″ x 10.8″ x 3.25”… it's a big system. There is a lot to choose from this new installment whether it be the new looking games (which look gorgeous by the way). When using the Kinect, it's very worth your time to invest into it and I'm sure you'll have lots of fun! It's a quiet system, except for the disk running in your console perhaps. There is a front panel consisting of your power button behind the Xbox logo and the blue ray drive slot. A light touch though will easily turn it off. You have two options here: “instant-on” mode or “energy saving” mode. “Instant on” mode allows you to pick up where you left off in your game hence you forgot to save it. The “energy saving” mode however does the opposite of that very thing. Kinect 2.0 Microsoft has second-generation motion-sensing infrared camera, 1080p Resolution, a unique microphone, and more :). You get to do motions with your hands throughout certain games which could be not as expected if you're looking for a wide advantage over this. Scrolling through the OS feels basic and normal for the most part. If there was any other way of feeling, you definitely wouldn't even notice. Remember earlier how I said the hand motions were somewhat limited? In “Dance Central Spotlight,” (Which comes with this deal for purchase)it has more to do with how the programers worked on it. This shouldn't take away from the experience too much, but it will leave you kind of wondering differently. The makers even think about making it where you will oly get the Xbox one, but as I said it only takes away from it a little. Once you get it, you won't want to get rid of it. Gaming, etc The controller you get is no different if you've played one from the Xbox 360. There are some nice improvements done with it, especially the “d-pad.” When you move it, it doesn't feel forced or held back so it is just what you are hoping for. The grip for the controller is also nice, as well as the trigger. It's great to having that type of button to perform said tasks on certain games. The games themselves look a lot better than before, so you will really enjoy your money well spent. The more this generation improves, the more it get's better at doing what it does. Xbox one graphics: The TV and the media allow for enough to pick from whether it's watching a movie on net flix, Hulu plus, Amazon Prime, etc. This works well if you don't have cable TV in your area. Score: 8.5/10 To check out other reviews, etc see my website at: xboxshootergames.com
