Love my smokey joe!
Hello! I recently purchased a SJ that I've been wanting for a long time. I recently have 5 units 3kettles 2WSMs. I have long hours at work and sometimes the late days get in the way from starting a quick fire BUT! not anymore No No!! Since I've gotten this little guy I've burned on it pretty much every day if not every other day for a quick dinner. Love it! Absolutely love it quick simple and easy! I also bought the compact fire chimney to load just the amount of coals needed. I love my entire Weber family and look to conplete it with the 22' WSM here shortly. Weber will always be my #1 grilling/smoking machines. Thank you Weber!

Webber small grill is terrible.
worst grill ever! I have cooked on this grill 4 times and each time the charcoal goes cold before the food is cooked throughly. I can't figure out why the grill gets cold so quickly. I have used two different brands of charcoal, matchlight and Kingsford. I'm going to throw this piece of crap away and buy a better grill.

    14" Smokey Joe
This Smokey Joe is my 3rd Weber product. I own a 22" Performer Deluxe and 18" Smokey Mountain. These 2 are great for larger cooking/smoking needs. So i needed something smaller for those small cooks and this turns out to be perfect. It's good for just burgers & hotdogs or any other small meals. Its very compact & small, doesnt take much room when not in use. My only suggestion is to mod the tabs and install some long screws cause it gets very hot if you need to close or adjust the vents. The top vent could use the same mod as well. Other than its best bang for the buck if you're wanting something small for like camping, the lake or park.

Best portable grill on the market
Performs as well as my 22” kettle grill! Very easy to transport, was able to have superb bbq on vacation! For the price, everyone should own one of these.

    A weekend with Smokey Joe
Broke in my Smokey Joe on a weekend trip to the beach. Made two Tri-Tips using indirect heat, after a good searing moved them to the cool side did some rotations an around 45 mins start to finish we had a delicious meal. Smokey Joe worked great, was easy to clean and repack and ready for the trip.

    Frustrating Bottom Vent
I love the grill, BUT... the bottom vent handle is TOO SHORT!!! A person can burn themselves easily just trying to adjust the vent. Surely you all must recognize this shortcoming. Had this vent had a longer handle, this would easily have been a FIVE STAR rating. I LOVE Weber grills! They are the best in the world.

The perfect grill/smoker when cooking for two!
Absolutely the best bang for your buck in grilling, and does an amazing job smoking low & slow, as well! Have seared beautiful ribeyes, and just finished an 8-hour smoke of a 3 lb chuck roast that came out amazing! When cooking for two, there is no need for a bigger cooker—-save on charcoal & use the Smokey Joe. Much better construction than cheapie knockoffs, seals tight for great temperature control for low & slow cooks.

    Smokey Joe rusted.
OK. I have had this grill for a little over a year. The screws that hold the bottom part of the grill together and the tops of all 3 legs are rusting really bad where the screws go thru them. I have kept it inside when not in use for all of its life. i was expecting way better than this for the price i paid and all the rave reviews weber has. It cooked great and i could control the temperature pretty good tho. i included a picture. i hope u can see it. i never kept my receipt from walmart and never registered it. my bad

    Good grill
I use this grill a lot to do veggies or with cast iron while main course is on 22in kettle. Also an ok travel grill.

    It's a Weber
I have expectations that if it has a Weber brand name, it will perform well and be well made. It is well made. It took perhaps 5-10 minutes to asemble. I was able to cook on it just as every other Weber product I own. I am pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a portable grill.
