Excellent for my Students
We purchased this as a second unit to paint 50 sheets of 1/2 plywood that were assembled into individual cubicles for our school. Eight high school students were trained by other students to use this gun to paint 15 gallons of paint over a three week class time period. Meaning it was cleaned 15+ times and had 15+ startups. Only one student produced runs with the unit and all the rest were comfortable using it after 15-20 minutes of training. I am impressed as it used latex straight from the bucket and performed excellent with a one application coverage on raw wood. We normally use a primer however the students wanted to try it direct and it worked well.
When we need a another gun, we'll buy this one again. The first unit was a Graco with the collapsible paint containers, works well, but very difficult to prime, extreme long clean up time and most students after trying both, loved the Wagner.

Painting is no fun even less with this gun!
The mess was horrible. The gun dripped and splattered terribly, is a good thing I had covered my cabinets well otherwise they too would have gotten painted . Unless is a professional sprayer gun, don't bother with this product, I finished the job in less than an hour the good old fashioned way with a brush and a roller!!!!!

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/13/2016Be very careful how you clean and store partsSprayer works reasonably well, better if you thin latex a little first. My biggest problem with it is storage after cleanup. Generally I'm accustomed to disassembling the air cap and storing them submerged in appropriate solvent (water for latex) until next use. That's how I care for my automotive HVLP paint guns (made out of metal) and the approach works really well. However, as I just found out by surprise - if you use this gun with a solvent/oil based paint, don't try storing the plastic parts in the cup submerged in mineral spirits. The large ring that screws onto the painter body is made out of a material that will react with mineral spirits and will swell (or the white plastic ring will shrink - or both), making it impossible to reassemble the air cap the next time you want to use the gun.BearGFR

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/26/2015First time userI borrowed a Control Spray from a relative only to find it would not spray latex paint. I searched your website to find one that would. I chose the PaintReady. After reading the reviews I carefully read the instructions, twice. I took the sprayer apart to familiarize myself with it. I had a little trouble with spattering on the first 2 gallons. I ran out of paint and sent the wife after more and while she was gone I cleaned the sprayer. It took me longer to take it apart and clean it than it did to use the first 2 gallons of paint. I chalk that up to inexperience. The next 2 gallons went so smooth it scared me. Again experience helps. I would recommend this product to my friends. It saved me 12 hours at least over rolling.GregBert

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/20/2014Great little sprayerI am a gc and have used expensive painters before. I bought this little painter to latex paint drop celing tiles on an 800 sqf ceiling. I painted the tiles in place together with the trim. Results were breathtaking. I cleaned the machine then latex painted the wooden trim on the walls and doors, it did great, no hiccups. A point worth mentioning is that you will need to clean the head before you intend to leave the machine idle for prolonged periods of time. fast forward to another project, I painted trim as well. It did great too. Highly recommended for the price.Bhcltd

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/20/2014Good sprayer for most any paint job.I bought this sprayer to paint underside of front porch roof, but I have also used it to paint exterior house trim and a 10' x 10' metal storage building. I used thick paint on the building and only run into one problem; I failed to stir the paint until all the thick gooey was thin enough to spray and it stopped-up the spray tip, but was easy to clean and start spraying again. The sprayer is very easy to use if all directions are followed closely and the overspray is very light. Most importantly, clean sprayer and all parts after use. I would recommend this product for anyone not requiring a textured spray.DJcoot

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/08/2013excellent productI found the paint ready sprayer to be all that it was supposed to be. I used it with Kilz 2 paint. I did thin it out a little but that was mainly because I was repainting stucco and wanted the paint to sink into all the little holes in the stucco, which it did. a job that would have taken me all day with rollers & brushes took only around 2 hours including clean up. I would gladly recommend this sprayer to my friends in the future.USMVMCFL2

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/16/2013Very handy machineI was hesitant on purchasing this product but it surprised me. Initial setup was simple. I was ready to go in under 5 minutes. It sprayed latex paint smoothly and evenly. Adjustable flow controls are nice. Can paint around windows with ease. Reduced painting time by hours. The power painter is capable of big jobs or small. Clean up was also fairly easy. Well defined instructions to follow. Highly recommend for price / value.Guardog25

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/04/2013Awesome better than expectedFirst of all I was looking for a Control Sprayer but found out this sprayer is the replacement the Control Sprayer. This was confirm with technical assistance from Wagner. I was also given good advice to use some water first to get use to sprayer and its adjustments. Sprayed a 6 piece wood patio set using Behr solid color stain. No problems at all. This sprayer will paint both stain and latex paint. Clean up a piece of cake took only 15 minutes. Wish there was an attachment so i could have used the gallon can like my previous two older sprayers.Supermex

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/25/20121 use gunI bought this gun and was very excited to play with the new features since I was moving up from the Control Spray Double Duty. The first use was great. Half way the second project the black spray tip "cracked" and paint started sputtering everywhere. After reading a few forums it seems a lot of people are having this problem. Until a recall is done and the cheap tip is fixed "DO NOT BUY" Yes, i thinned the paint, and yes, i ran it through a strainer.IamThePuzzleMan
