Great sprayer
Sprayer sprays evenly and applies just as promised. It distributes the paint evenly and was super easy to use. Made our work easy.

HORRIBLE PRODUCT!!!
Sprayer does not perform like it's product description and is worse than the old Power Painter. I purchased this to spray an exterior door but used it first on an exterior wall for the angle that meets the eve and also at the ground, spraying S-W exterior satin latex . Splatter finish only and unable to use for the door. The messiest product I've ever used!! High setting left an unbelievable amount of overspray. Low setting still had an unacceptable amount of overspray. When letting off of the trigger, the splatter thickened onto the project and then paint POURED out of the spray nozzle making an unbelievable mess. Nearly 1/4 of the paint was lost on the ground and covered the painter. The cleanup took longer than the painting project. I read all of the instructions first and then went through the toubleshooting guide. Everything was assembled as recommended but the sprayer would not perform as described.

    Did the job
I've never painted anything before with a sprayer and decided to buy this to redo my kitchen cabinets since the kitchen remodel of my dreams was out of our budget. I purchased this because it was almost the same price as renting a sprayer from our local home improvement store. I watched all the videos on the product page and after a rough start (I didn't have the settings right), I got all my painting (one coat of primer and two coats of paint) done in one day. I used the detail nozzle and everything came out smooth and even with no drips. I'm giving it 4 stars because while I'm happy with how my cabinets turned out, it took some serious muscle to paint all day and keep the trigger down and I was seriously sore the next day. Overall I like this tool and look forward to using it again.

    Worked well... until it didn't
Purchased the unit about 10 months ago to paint a table. Worked great. Spray was a little uneven but did the job. Took it out to paint a small waist high fence last weekend. Worked well for about 2 sections and then the motor died. Called in and they said if it is dead for more than an hour its probably dead. My fault for not keeping the receipt for warranty. Again does the job, easy to clean, but I found it unreliable for long term use. I really only used it twice so would have hoped for a better lifespan out of the unit.

Easy tom use once the settings are correct
It works very well and makes a little paint cover a large area. But unless you take a few moments to get the flow and air adjustments correct for the weight of what you are spraying, you'll have issues like dribbling paint out of the nozzle and loads of overspray. This can ALL be avoided.

    worked very well
I had used an older Wagner sprayer in the past and it worked pretty well, so I though I would try Wagner again when I painted the exterior of my house, getting it ready to sell. I was very happy to learn that this product worked even better than the older Wagner that I had used. I painted the entire outside over the course of several days, the time was mainly for taping and masking off. I ran about 7 gallons of paint through the sprayer and it worked great, only one time did I have a slight issue with globbing and that was due to the little washer inside not being seated properly when I reassembled. I corrected that and things were fine again. This spring I will be painting the exterior of my new house and will use the same sprayer

Simple to use, quiet, easy to clean and delivers excellent results
What attracted us to the Wagner Flexio was the additional Detail Finish nozzle as we wanted to use the sprayer to custom finish some interior furniture with an antique/weathered effect and we weren't sure if the regular gun would produce a smooth enough finish. We have a 1hp airless paint sprayer however it would empty a quart of paint in a heartbeat, which is why we opted for the Wagner for this job. The instructions are very straight forward and worth a read as it pays to adjust the spray volume to avoid 'splatter'. We used regular interior eggshell enamel and thinned it out 10:1 or 10 percent so we could use it in the Detail Finish gun and it handled it without problems. The Wagner tech support was very helpful and recommended thinning the paint so we could use the Detail Finish gun. A couple of things are really helpful in this sprayer - firstly you can depress the trigger to run the fan without having the paint come out. This means it is easy to get the gun up to speed without needing to have the paint spraying before you reach the area you want to paint unlike an airless sprayer. As a result of this, there was very little overspray which otherwise wastes paint. I also liked it that the gun will stand up when you need to set it down due to the fact that the bottom of the handle and the spray pot are level with each other. Finally when it came to clean up, it was a breeze and much simpler than our airless sprayer. The gun is also very quiet and despite using the gun at several different angles while painting the table, it never failed to deliver paint at a constant level. While I didn't use it for an extended period, it certainly doesn't feel too heavy, even when about 3/4 full of paint. Despite leaving the paint in the Detail Finish gun overnight in the fridge so it wouldn't cure because we were still finishing the job off, the gun cleaned up to like new condition in about 5-10 mins due to the smooth plastic 'easy clean' finish. When looking at the attached pictures, bear in mind that the 'antique' look is intentional. My wife sanded down this pine table, then painted it with a matt black spray paint. We then smeared a layer of wood glue on the table surface and allow it to dry for 2-3 minutes before spraying on the interior eggshell enamel and then helped it dry with a hairdryer. In this case, the color is 'Mint Majesty' and as you can see, it creates an antique, weathered finish once dry. The final stage will be to seal it with a polyurethane varnish which the Wagner can also handle using the Detail Finish gun. Excellent product and our plan is now to try it out on an exterior door where we would have otherwise used the airless sprayer.

    Surprisingly good
I intended to use this sprayer to do maintenance work around some rental property, small houses in a small complex. It would not be used to paint an entire house. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of use since I had never used a small sprayer before. Setup is a breeze with little tweaking to do. The spray force is too light to be used in very windy conditions, but then this is a self-contained unit, not a professional sprayer and compressor set. First I painted an 8' x 4' panel, white exterior latex primer over bare plywood. The primer went on smooth without any runs on the vertical surface. I had a problem with the spray pattern being too narrow, but after reviewing the instructions, I realized I was using the wrong spray setting. I had misinterpreted the pattern to be a match for the orifice on the front, instead of following the instructions. I was actually using a narrow pattern, meant for trim work. Once I corrected the setting to wide, all went well. The lesson there was to trust the manual. The unit is somewhat noisy and might be a problem if needed in a quiet area. Fortunately I had no issues with the noise. Cleanup was a time-consuming process. If you are doing a small job, you might not want to use this unit, but brush/roll it instead. It takes a while to clean up the unit and tank, reducing the convenience of using this type of sprayer. For this job of spraying an 8' x 4' panel, it was probably a tossup as far as time and effort was concerned over using a brush/roller. In order to reduce the cleanup time and to keep fast-drying latex from making it even slower and more difficult, I recommend that before you start painting, you set up a small bucket with warm water to be used in place of the reservoir for cleanup. That way you don't have to clean the reservoir until after cleaning the spray head. Of course, you could just buy a spare screw-on reservoir to do that, but that would be a mail/phone order process. See the last few pages of the manual for details on ordering spare parts like the reservoir/tank. Having a small stiff brush would be helpful also. Something like a dental brush works nicely. One point regarding the cleanup: After wiping off the unit with a sponge and water, I was unable to switch it on without tripping the GFCI breaker. Apparently some water had gone inside and temporarily caused a shorting problem. After the unit dried, I had no issue. Overall, the most helpful thing I can say is: Read all of the manual first!
