Quiet generator thats easy to start.
Have not yet used for its intended purpose but Ive been practicing to ensure I can get it to work following hurricane. I think I will love this Wen 2250 watt gen. Im a 70 yr old female. While its very heavy to pick up and move, that weight helps keep it in place while pulling the starter cord. It is very, very easy to start and is exceptionally quiet. I wish it came with wheels. I plan to buy a dolly so I can move it around outside a little easier. So far, I am very happy with this purchase.

WEN 2000
Have had this generator about three weeks so it is too early to determine reliability etc. I have about 6 hrs on it. Remember it ships dry so follow instructions for adding oil. It started on 2nd pull after setup. It has been started and stopped about 30 times so far and has never taken more than 2 pulls to start. After first 3-4 hrs I changed oil to synthetic . The first oil was pretty dirty ...the oil after the change has stayed nice and clean. It runs quietly and drives a small 800 watt microwave and several LED lights without a hiccup even on economy mode. I have tested it with a small compressor, a handheld vacuum, a coffee maker, a skill saw and other light appliances and it has been great. If this little gen has durability it will deserve 5 stars.

    very impressed so far
let me say I'm replacing my Westinghouse igen2500 that has 2400 hour's on it and it still running strong and one pull however Westinghouse now does not accept phone calls making getting parts impossible they responded to my email and nothing else no parts nothing and now i have a useless generator when i need parts and that generator is very good . So I see i can easily call Wen so i order the Wen 2250 with fuel run out option in case i want to store it this is very convenient . I just do a full break-in and I was shocked at how well this generator handles and it came with a funnel muti screw driver and Phillips spark plug removal tool and it even has a rubber boot inside to pull the spark plug out this is amazing seriously i use these daily and maintenance is crucial I always change spark plugs about 3 times a month oil the same i use only ethanol free with a stabilizer and quality oil and little bit of Lucas stabilizer this is the blood of the motor and will keep you running longer . Including a small case for the tools oh and a small real wrench ? not some flat punched out steel one but a real wrench like a craftsman i believe size 10 and 11 metric not shure have to check but i love how both panels come off my Westinghouse had to be completely tore sown to do this and took hour's. The larger body does well for getting inside to check on things and i noticed things like the vacuum line on the carburetor has a jacket over it for heat resistances my Westinghouse melted it's over a period of a year this tells me they actually are improving this motor my Westinghouse has the same exact motor but with a slightly bigger bore I only use 30% to 40% at most never use full potential of these motors if you have a 1500 watt load upgrade to a 3800 watt model this keeps the motor at low rpm and you don't cook the oil and everything else I have year's of experience using these . The Wen 2250 is definitely quiter then my Westinghouse igen2500 not by much but it is and I will update as time goes as i did with all my others. very excited to use this generator and hope to write more good thing and so far 5 stars Westinghouse has 4 now because of a incompetent service center that apparently does not care anymore about thier products and Now Wen takes the lead ! lets go !

    So quiet!
I bought this generator to use for tailgates and it works great. Doesn't take up too much room in the car, not too heavy, and most importantly - it is SO quiet. I couldn't hear it at the front of the car, but I could hear the generator 4 cars down from us loud and clear. I'd recommend this generator to anyone looking for a less expensive option!

    WEN 56200i Inverter Generator
I purchased this to use on my boat and I am very happy thus far. It starts my portable 8000 BTU A/C unit just fine and will run the A/C and my battery charger both. It runs the higher wattage items like the water heater and microwave by themselves. All n all, it puts out its rated power and it's also quiet. It ran my A/C by itself in eco mode for 6hrs and 15 min on a tank before I shut it down to fill it up. Knew it was on fumes by then. Don't have anything else to compare it to but believe it could hold its own against the Honda 2000i or Yamaha and both cost hundreds more.

The generators setup guide was not the best. It does not come with oil, so you have to get oil and put it in. this isn't bad, except they tell you to pull the service cover off to fill the oil, but they don't show you a thing about where the service cover is or which screws to undo to remove it. It wasn't that hard to figure out, so I still give it an excellent. While you have the cover off don't forget to get the product # which is etched into the motor for your warranty registration. I put oil in and pulled the starter three times and it fired up. It has a regular mode which runs at a high speed that your supposed to use running over a 1000 watts which is as loud as it gets. way quieter than my old generator. Eco mode is way quieter. Second and third time it started on the first pull. 48 lbs., easy start, and quiet. Perfect for an old man.

    Works great!
I have a gourmet kielbasi shop, and needed an inverter generator for awhile. I finally looked at many, and after reviews ordered this Wen. It's just as quiet as a$1300 Honda, and uses very little gas! At my farmers markets i go to, every other person can not believe how quiet it is! Thanks again, Joe T

    SHHHHHHHHH!
This machine is so quiet. I cranked it and walked about 20' from it. I was also about the same distance from my home's ac unit. I could hear the AC as it was really hot that day, BUT I could not hear the generator!! I had purchased the WEN 1800 watt unit previously as it was hundreds cheaper... but it was loud, way too loud to use in a campground. Capable but loud as it runs at full tilt all the time compared to the 2000W that idles until it is stressed. I plugged in a 500 watt work lamp and it felt the load when I turned it on but only for a moment (but this is pretty much a dead short to the generator.) Then I tried a 1200 watt heater and it didn't really notice it was there. For the big test I plugged in a 5000 BTU window AC unit and started it up thinking that for sure the start up surge would slow the 2000W down a little, but NO, again again the 2000W didn't skip a beat. I purchased this generator to power my 14 foot Travel Trailer when I go to racetracks where there are no hookups. Perfect.

Bought this for my RV camp outs.
Nice unit but It would not run the microwave in my trailer ( 1000 watt ). The crazy thing is it would run my A/C unit. That made me happy as I could easily down size the microwave. So that's exactly what I did. In all it worked out good. It is a very quiet unit and starts on no more than 2 pulls every time. I kept the heavy duty box and packaging to store it in.
