Excellent!
It's excellent. Easy to charge - just from PC. No batteries required. Excellent sound. Easy to record voice. Easy to transfer to a flash and listen that in the car. Big memory - 16 GB. And the price is very affordable! The best! I ordered it online and received it at my door in 3 or 4 days. Thank you, Walmart!

WHY YOU SHOULD NOT BUY THIS RECORDER
I bought this for the voice activated feature. But, the directions for use are woefully inadequate. The print is only 1 mm high and I had to use a magnifying glass to read it. Whoever translated the directions made a lot of mistakes and some of the words did not make any sense or were misspelled. I am a trained electronics tech but, still found the operating directions difficult. There were no directions on the use of voice activation which is an important feature for me. The directions tell you not to charge the unit when the battery indicator shows no bars. The symbol showed that the battery was totally dead. So, I did not even try to charge it with my laptop. The manufacturer should have the directions reviewed by a computer tech who speaks English as the primary language. Also, the directions should be large enough to read without a magnifying glass. I will try to return this device for a refund.

    Poor packaging!
    Haven't had a chance to charge it yet and HOPING it works since the case it came in was cracked. Why in the world would something fragile be shipped in an envelope rather than a small box?!!?

    Would not record and playback. Said it was store returnable and it was not. I sent messages and got no replies. I will never buy anything from here again. Disappointed that Walmart would not back it up.

    Nothing good about it so far
    Already had two recordings on it, can't figure out how to get them off. No instructions of any kind and showed cables in one of the pictures - only came with the USB C cable.

    Not exactly what I expected but it does work
    This voice recorder worked, but is not suitable for a senior citizen. It is much smaller than the old fashioned tape voice recorders. Where large controls were present, this unit has hard to manipulate controls. Very confusing display, which is needed because of the complexity of its functions. Horrible provided instructions; understandably, the printed material is extremely small and lengthy, as it has to fit in the box the recorder came in, but why not provide a web download site? Needed a high resolution scanner and software to blow up the instructions to readable size. Once blown up, poorly worded and confusing instructions. Example: “2. Battery life (1) The power is offer by rechargeable batteries. When charging, the screen shows charging indicatory symbol, fully charged is four bar, the charging indicatory symbol will not flash fully charged. (2) For more durable of the battery. Please charge when there is only one bar of battery. Do not charge it when battery runs out. No bars when recorder arrived. Battery had ran out while in storage before I received it. Last line reads “Do not charge it when battery runs out. Had to interpret what was the intention of what the instructions were: it was assumed the actual meaning was “do not continually discharge the battery till it is dead”. Battery did recharge after several hours, but had to babysit the charging process since it was not known if unit was protected from overcharging. Recorder did duplicate test voice recordings. Horrible internal playback speaker; it was discernible but of poor quality. Playing recordings back into my computer, produced much better results. The unit can record good enough, but either ear buds, head set, or an external speaker arrangement, might be more prudent. Again, if you are a student, this is not what I would consider to be a “courtroom dictaphone” costing around 20 times more than this inexpensive voice recorder which could be suitable for playing lessons/lectures back.

    It works well and I have not had any issues but I liked my older one better. This one has a complicated menu layout and it has a separate power button where with the old one I could just press the record button making it easier to when I am driving or just waking up. It does have the computer interface which is nice as I like to us that to download my notes.
