Great for sensitive skin
Came across this in an article about sensitive skin after I got blisters and painful rash from The new big Triple ingredient moisturizer. This was the number one cream recommended by a derm.I use it on my face and hands and while it goes on heavy and thick feeling it soon absorbs and leaves skin silky and smooth with no rash or irritation!

    pump tube too short
I would give the product 5 stars if it wasn't for the pump tube not reaching the bottom of the canister. We always have to unscrew the top and scoop out the cream the last 2 weeks of use.

    Vanicream itself is amazing, but...
The Vanicream itself is an outstanding product. Unfortunately, they have changed their packaging such that the pumps seem to be made out of a harder plastic that is more brittle. When that is combined with Walmart's notoriously poor packaging and the rough handling "delivered" by FedEx, you get broken pumps. I really wish that Walmart would improve their packaging and shipping processes. Amazon needs stiff competition. I'd really like to see Walmart step up to the plate and become a viable alternative.

Smells like glue but works for my sensitivity
I have sensitive skin and was watching dr drey on yt. She recommends this all the time so I got it. Love having a pump so I don't have to scrape it with my fingers. Do not use this dry!! Use this on wet skin or else you will have a hard time rubbing it in and it will feel greasy! Something about putting it on right after rinsing makes the formula different and less heavy feeling. My skin has been feeling super soft and moisturized since this and less breakouts from the fragrances in other products. I wish the Vanicream could smell like nothing instead of this weird glue like smell but it goes away after it dries if you're worried about a lingering smell Pros: moisturizing, affordable, non irritable, not sticky Cons: initially smells like glue, extra thick if not applied on wet skin

    Too heavy, greasy and sticky.
I am sure this is good for dry skin and sensitive skin, however I can't get past how greasy and sticky it is. A good lotion should be neither of those. It should absorb and not stay sticky. I was hoping to use it on my face for skin problems, but it is way too heavy and sticky. Maybe it would be good for my feet, but not anywhere else on my body.

Yes yes yes to use with retinoid!
I started using adapalene for adult hormonal acne outbreak caused by stress. This causes peeling and very dry/tight skin as your face gets used to the retinoid. My normal Clinique moisturizer was not cutting it. After reading different forums, I learned that vanicream or cerave were the best options. The difference is that cerave has more sophisticated ingredients, while vanicream is more sensitive skin friendly (ie. Me). So I went with vanicream. This has gotten my peeling gone in 2 days, and made the tightness much more bearable. I put it on 3-4 times a day right now given what my skin is undergoing and it's great. It's a very thick moisturizer though so be prepared.

    This stuff is a Miracle
My husbands skin is very sensitive and is always broke out in a rash due to heat or a million other triggers. Since I found this, his skin has been so much better! It's very thick but it doesn't feel greasy after you use it. It also doesn't feel like you didn't use any lotion at all five minutes after putting it on like a lot of lotions do.

This was recommended by my dermatologist, after a severe allergic reaction to cosmetics. It has replaced my expensive face creams! It is a great skin cream for the whole body! Thank you Walmart.
