Had my first shave with it today. Closest shave I've got, especially since I'm switching from disposable razors. The butterfly mechanism works great and the razor is built good. would last the lifetime warranty

Uneven blade fitting
Bends the blade unevenly when tightened, with multiple kinds of blades seats nothing properly. Seems to be on purpose, only their own blades fit perfectly. On top of this, bends the razor such that there are slight curves to the blades unless carefully under-tightened. Strongly advise against buying, tried two and both had the same "defect". Get used to carefully adjusting your razor in the slot to try and make it even, the tolerances only work with their own razors.

    Closest shave I have ever gotten
    This is razor is phenomenal and has a good weight to it. For shaving enthusiasts and professionals, this may not be the best of the best, but for an at-home shave, this is perfect. Coming from disposable razors meant a learning curve and a few nicks here and there but within my first couple of shaves, I figured it out and now I am getting the closest shaves I ever have at home. The blades are also durable and extremely sharp (it doesn't take any force to cut the hair) so shaving is a breeze with this razor.

    Fine for initial foray into double edge.
    OK. Razor handle similar to econ type. A little different and better in design--classy embossed logo. PRC. I'd travel with my econ razor. Included blades are typical double-edge. Shaves a little better than the other. Double-edge still has a footing in industrial use--it still has enough consumer fans to stay alive. Such razors are never totally foolproof and cut-free: Cartridges are somewhat safer. Always, I must shave over stubborn hairs in several directions. I'm 63 years old--subborn chin hairs. This is one of the very common types of razors used in my youth. I also use electric razors and "stand-up" stubble lotions--often as a "prelude" to finishing off with these. Cleans face. Walmart was a champ in getting this to me super-quick and way ahead of schedule--appreciate greatly! Use carefully, especially at first.

    It's an OK razor to get you used to a DE safety razor, but it's far too light and unbalanced. It's a fairly mild shaver so coupled with its light weight I was finding myself pressing down which is exactly what you are not supposed to do with a DE.

    Excellent
    German manufacturing of shavers and blades is far superior to all the others I've tried. With this shaver, it is NOT UNUSUAL, to get six or more shaves per blade with absolute comfort.
