Great for when you dont want to go out.
Bought this for my 60" aquos. Reception wasn't the best plugged into the back. So I bought an HDMI extension and with some double sided tape, it gets great reception mounted on top left side. I love it because you can buy almost any show. And watch some movies while they are still in theater. Its linked with my PayPal so I can watch any movie in seconds.

Not worth it.
No Vudu movies can be viewed more than a couple of minutes on the Vudu Stick. I also have Amazon Fire TV, but Vudu does not come with it. Got stupid and thought I'd save $50 by not buying a Roku, and mistakenly purchased a useless Vudu Stick. Vudu stick continually reboots. Cannot view complete movies as the stick will reboot for no reason and re-start from scratch as if it were newly started. Very disappointed as I have to watch all movies off my computer in SD mode, and NOT HDX. The Vudu Stick has proven itself to be a very disappointing waste of money. I had it exchanged twice, and surmised that none were really any good. Vudu is strictly Vudu. At least with a Chromecast for $10 more, you'll have Vudu plus many, many more!! Save up and get Roku as it has Vudu plus more, too! ☮

    Problems
    To be honest it did not work for me and it was a gift so I had a time span in which I had in order to return it- what a disaster - plus the the batteries were not included as stated - not to mention it slipped my mind but I wish someone would had told me I had to return it back to the Retail which was not Walmart

    My Vudu
    When I bought this item I pretty much understood what all it could do. It's great to have along with a good internet connection. My internet connection is not very good so I miss out on all that this little jewel can do. Keeps my grand children and my self pretty entertained!! We love to see movies and all the new ones coming out!!

    Great device!
    I am very happy with this device. It is a great product overall, and I got it at an amazing price! And on top of that, I get extra promotional credits to use in VUDU. That alone made the purchase worth it, especially since in the end, I get more in credits than I paid for the device itself! SWEET deal! As for the stick itself, it works well, at least so far, and I looked for it to get access to my ultraviolet collection, which this serves that purpose well. The only thing I think that is missing is some kind of storage(i.e. I would like to/expect to see some form of sd card slot, for expandable storage). An SD/microSD card slot would allow for storage, so I could download movies, etc. to watch later offline. An SD card slot also should not increase the cost of the stick significantly. Onboard storage I would expect to increase the price, but not as much as with an sd card slot.

    If you want an inexpensive way to connect your TV to your VUDU account, this works great. It streams fast, easy to use and the picture is great! Very happy I got it, and would recommend it.

    Horrible customer service
    Horrible customer service. They do not communicate at all and just simply keep requesting things or more information. I created the account that links everything to vudu. Cinemanow, Flixster, and all of the other linked accounts work wonderful and link up just fine and correlate with each other, except for Vudu. Everytime they fix one issue I lose my digital movies and then they fix that and back again to another problem on something else. Honestly Vudu has been the worst digital movie streamer I have used. Flixster is so far the best. Vudu has the potential to being a great system, but honestly with it crashing constantly and simply on how bad their service is. they are getting an overall of 1 for a rank from me. great dashboard but crashes after 10 minutes of movie. Been working with customer service for 3 weeks now still same problem.

    Yes - it's just VUDU !!!
    After reading some of the negative reviews from people who seemed to be puzzled that this device is for streaming movies from Vudu ONLY, I had to share my own experience. I previously purchased a Roku 3 because I've accumulated an extensive library of digital movies and wanted to stream them on my TV (not just on hand-held devices). Despite a reasonably fast Wifi speed (40 Mbps), I get constant lagging with Vudu via Roku. When I purchased the Vudu Spark, I understood that it would be for streaming Vudu content only. One reviewer complained about the poor design for entering their user information...and even then said they couldn't access their library of movies. This sounds more like a user issue. Seriously...you only have to log into your account once, and from there you should be able to view your content every time. As for performance, the Vudu Spark has actually performed BETTER than streaming Vudu content via my Roku. Any lagging has been minor. My biggest complaint is that if I haven't accessed Vudu via the Spark for maybe a couple of weeks, I sometimes have to reboot it by either unplugging or briefly pulling it out of the USB port. Annoying...but even then, it still recognizes my user info without having to log back in. The bottom line is...it's a simple device to access your purchased digital movies - and to purchase digital movies/shows from Vudu. As of the date of this review, you also get a $25 credit to buy or convert movies to digital on Vudu. Really not a bad deal.

    A one trick pony that locks you into one service
    This device only works with VUDU which severely limits your choices and costs. Chromecast and Amazon TV are much better alternatives, providing a multitude of streaming sources and constantly updating their content. Plus the cost about he same as this so not sure why anyone would want to limit themselves with this device. It was return the same day it was purchased as I thought for sure it offered other streaming sources.

    Why?
    I love Vudu and it's service. I literally have 100's of movies and dozens of TV shows bought through Vudu. I can access Vudu through my Blu Ray player and my PS4 already, so I wasn't sure if I should buy this or not. But with the 25 dollar gift card this is basically free so I figured why not. With that being said I don't understand this "Spark" at all. I know its competing with Roku, and Amazon Fire, but both of those also offer tons of other apps. This only lets you watch Vudu. No netflix, no Hulu Plus, NOTHING else. Maybe they will see the error of their ways and update this so you can use other apps, but for now your better off buying any, ANY of the other streaming sticks.
