Love it!!
I am a caregiver to my handicap soft spoken senior mother and needed this monitor for when she needs me. This monitor speaker is very sensitive and catches her every call to me. I like the vibration option. If I'm outside doing gardening the vibration option informs me of her calls. I like how the lights flash with sound. When I'm in my room watching a loud action movie late at night I put the monitor in front of the television so I can see when she calls me. I like the "talk" option so I can tell her I hear her and I'm on my way. It has a good range, is light weight and clips on my waistband to carry with me around the house. I never mis her call for me.

Died in 1 month due to quick power failure
I was attracted to these units when I realized that they didn't utilize the same frequencies as my far better Graco digital units, and were guaranteed to be clear. We are on child 2 now, and needed to hear both our baby and our toddler, and running 2 Graco units wasn't working out for whatever reason (interference from the first?) Anyway, these units worked great for about a month, although their volume wasn't quite as loud as the other brands we have tried, it was clear and had no static. The night light feature was nice, and being able to talk to the baby was a neat idea, especially for use with the toddler. One evening our power went out for about 30 seconds and came back on. Once it was on, the receivers would not link anymore with the baby unit. I looked this up (what little information I could find) and people say that the receiver, or sending unit will burn out in the baby side, and this renders the set useless. I had a very hard time finding the V-tech setup with 2 monitors, looks like they are off the market, more then likely for this issue. Even though they were under warranty, I don't feel like sending them back, so I threw them away and bought a cheaper Graco setup with the 900 mhz ( like older cordless phones) frequency as not to mess up my digital pair I've used flawlessly for over 2 years. It's working better then these V-techs, and it was about 30 dollars cheaper. Buy at your own risk. I have always thought V-tech communications was kinda on the cheap side, this item solidifies that opinion.

    Detects quiet sounds
    If you want a super sensitive baby monitor that picks up the smallest sounds, this is it! It truly has a 1,000 ft range too and doesn't lose signal in the house. I have used it in my barn as well and I can hear everything.

    Monitor for all ages.
    My husband is unable to move around right now so I love this monitor because it allows me to hear him if he needs me and ask what he needs from where ever I am, inside or out.

    Peace of mind!!
    I am taking care of my 89 year old Mother. I have cameras everywhere to make my life easier. However, I do not want a camera in the bathroom. This is PERFECT in the bathroom. I can hear when she flushes the toilet and if she needs me and calls for me, I can hear her even if I am upstairs. You have no idea the peace of mind this gives me. It has a two way speaker so I can talk to her and tell her I am on my way to help her. This eases her mind as well. You just never know when someone with dementia might be sitting on a trash can instead of a toilet and can not get up!! That is what prompted me to put this in the bathroom.

    Great for the office
    Business not baby - This was product was ordered to be used as a monitor to hear a high humidity alert in a datacenter that no one can hear unless walking by. It's important to keep the computers running and aware of any alarms. This was an inexpensive solution that works out great. It was delivered to a proud childless dad and he gets teased daily about his baby monitor!! :) :) :)

    I got this for taking care of my Dad as he declines. I can hear his every breath, and when he calls my name I can answer back that I'm coming. It gives me a little freedom as his caretaker to take care of myself so I'm there for him. Otherwise I would be in his room all the time. This little device has done so much and is worth it's weight in gold to us. The belt clip is great. The only flaw I see is that you must charge it all night and as much as you can during the day as it goes fairly fast, but is enough if you're aware and keep charging it.

    not using for a baby, it's used for my mother
    using it for a safety device, my mother is sick and needs help getting out of bed etc. this allows me some freedom cause I'm not confined to the house there a area around the house that I can get out to do jobs I haven't been able. now I can just hear her on the monitor and I don't have to stay in the house within ear s length

    Great product can't beet the price.
    This product exceeds my expectations the talk back button is a great feature. You will be pleased with this unit I recommend it. I don't have a baby but I take care of a sick person and now we can talk without shouting and me running To hear what she says or needs. I recommend this highly. And very affordable. Works great.

    Does the job it says it will do.
    I use the monitor for situations when I am in another part of the house or in the garage or yard close to the house, away from my wife who is an invalid. It works very well for my purpose. The only negative I would have is that the 1,000 foot range would probaly only apply to completely open spaces, but the range is good enough for my use. The belt clip is a little awkward to use, but it wnn't slip off.
