I hooked it up today and it sounds really good. I used the optical connection and it syncs when you turn it on. I have a 2009 55” Vizio, and this bar gives the small sounds from a movie that I have been missing. It also brings you in to a football game.

This bar sounds pretty good............
and would have just fine for my application. However, the blutooth feature did not work correctly. It would not reconnect after initial set-up even after deleting the device and attempting to re-connect. Tried it with 2 iPhones and with the same results. I purchased another Vizio bar w/wireless subwoofer and do not have the same problem.

    Amazing!
    I love this sound bar for the simple fact all I need is the bar it's self, no extra speakers, sub or wires, sounds amazing for a all in one sound bar, has really good bass, almost bought a samsung sound bar for $199. that was basically the same thing, so glad I didn't waste the extra $100!

    Incredible little sounds bar!
    Incredible! If you don't have the space for a powerful receiver, speakers and subwoofer, this discreet little thing is a no brainier! Best compact soundbar I've ever heard. Good for an average size room. Very clear sound, plenty of power. Just trying to figure out if I can program my cable TV remote to operate the volume on it.

    Badda Bing Badda Boom!!
    For the price point, this is a SIX Star. The sound is unbeatable for speakers this size. They are responsive, clear and have very good bass. I tested the bar after setup by playing the opening to a Transformers movie on max volume. Only the lowest frequencies created any distortion. And it wasn't bad. USB, 3.5 analog, Bluetooth pairing and optical inputs. On-bar buttons control. Nice remote that allows you to program the bar to accept volume

    VIZIO NAILED THIS ONE JUST RIGHT!!
    I was skeptical about purchasing this soundbar from Walmart because I thought that a soundbar at this price would not make any significant difference in the sound quality of the tv, BUT, boy was I wrong, taking my room acoustics into account, this unit has single handedly changed my whole perspective about how much a soundbar can actually change the whole tv viewing experience. First of all this unit has tweeters for production of high frequency sound, drivers for production of mid frequency sound and dual-built in subwoofers for production of low frequency sound, but at this price point I thought the sound would be 'tinny' at best, however the sound quality and difference blew me away. Room size and speaker placement also plays a major role in accurate sound reproduction, I understand this, and in this case, I scored big time. I used the optical cable to connect between my tv(Vizio as well) and the unit. It has bluetooth as well, but ,according to the owners manual, the optical connector would provide the best sound performance, and boy did it ever. It's safe to say that for what I expected, this unit easily surpassed. I didn't want the units that had an external subwoofer, because I didn't want the extra speaker taking up space, as I already have a separate stereo unit in the room. This unit was just right...nice price, quality sound reproduction combined with a small compact unit, so for me...VIZIO NAILED THIS ONE JUST RIGHT!

    Awesome Sound!!!
    I was in the market for a new sound bar that had impeccable sound, but affordable. I originally bought one off of Amazon and the quality was trash. So I went on to Walmart.com and began my search for an affordable sound bar. I really take into account other individual's reviews to base my decision on buying a product. The Vizio sound bar had outstanding reviews. Some said that their sound bar was not packaged properly. I can't see that happening because I included a picture of my well packaged sound bar upon opening it. Other reviews mentioned there isn't a in between volume control. Well for me I was able to lower the volume so it's not as loud and it was just fine. I have my settings set on NO bass and NO terrible and I still get crisp and clear sound. Now I did put the bass on high and the terrible and turned up the volume while playing music just to test how loud the sound carries and how well the built in subwoofer performs. Let me tell ya this sound bar was rocking to the point it vibrated my credenza that's it sits on and the back wall behind it! Very happy with my purchase and it didn't brake the bank either! So do yourself a favor and if your contemplating on purchasing the Vizio sound bar take the leap and buy it you won't regret it!!!

    Absolutely Worth Every Penny!
    I thought the built in sub was a joke or just a selling point, but it definitely was not. If you are looking to enhance your sound then do not hesitate on this. I have a huge living room with a very nice 5.1 surround. I got this for my bedroom after returning two other ones that did not sound much better than the tv speakers. This bar just blew me away. I actually have to keep the base at the default level because when I turn it up, It actually vibrates everything on my wall. For 98 bucks, this is probably the best, most clear vocals, and has the most base out of any stand alone bar. For a bedroom or small room, this is the perfect option. I hung mine on the wall and its worth the money. You will not be disapointed. Also if you have a cable or universal remote, You can program it for use with vizeo products. I have COX cable and my remote operates my samsung tv and now the soundbar volume.
