Does the job well
I got this for $10, I like it. The base that attaches to the desk is plastic but seems sturdy. You unscrew the pipe which loosens the clamp so it's not a clip that can move around and break easily. The arm…. Oh man…. I don't know what's inside (some crazy metal) but it is strong a.f…. It is soooo hard to twist but I managed (I'm not very strong at all). You twist it so you can “shorten” the arms length to adjust where you need it. The arm wobbles when you touch the device but that's expected, it is floating after all. My iPhone case has a magnetic raised circle on the back so it's fairly clunky but the holder still grips it nicely (even turning the phone on it's side it stays in the holder strong). All in all, I'm glad I got this one, seems like it'll last a while.

NOT as pictured! horrible
purchased this item since the reviews were fairly good. first thing I notice is that the item seems like the picture but a notable difference is that the last 8 or so inches are different material than the rest of the arm but at first it worked ok. within days you can tell that the thinner part of the arm is not as strong and now the device (regular size smart phone) keeps drooping and not holding position. keep in mind that this is not daily use, very sporadic use, sometimes a week goes by before used again. so when it's right outside of the 90 day window to return item, it completely breaks off at the joint where normal arm turns into thinner material. completely useless now. won't purchase or recommend to anyone.

    works but could use improvement
    very stiff. adjustable/flexible but still very stiff. use in car to spare a cup holder. works well enough. alao use in kids rooms for various devices. its not a deep seat to set the phone/tablet in so it slips out if you use a cover. granddaughter uses for her remote. genius idea as she is ALWAYS losing this.

    Let down
    There is a joint 3/4 of the way up at that doesn't need to be there. After a short time, it separates and the device you're connecting to it just swings down and will not stay up. Tried to rig with duct tape with no luck.

    Easily attachable and very strong.
    This is very sturdy. A bit stiff and hard to manipulate but holds my tablet very good. It is easy to attach to table edge or wherever. It doesn't slowly sink down or tilt like some gooseneck items do. It also works very well to hold other things, such as crochet and cross-stitch patterns so you can be hands free. I'm really glad I got this.

    Clunky, difficult to work with.
    Not at all intuitive to set up. I resorted to searching YouTube for videos and watched 3 different people be confused and fumble around with it. The arm is very difficult to position and continues to bounce around when the tablet is in it.

    ⚠️ DON'T BUY!! ⚠️
    I bought this in the hopes of using it to hold my tablet while I draw, however, was disappointed to find that the arm is really weak, it can't hold my tablet with the case on, and is extremely hard to move. Also! the part that is supposed to clip to a desk, counter, etc, is weak too and keeps falling off with a little bit of movement even when firmly put on.

    I liked how it fit any phone or tablet, but it only lasted 2 weeks before it broke. If you adjust it a lot itll break by the joints. It also doesnt hold a 10" tablet sturdy very well.

    Weak neck, broke after a month.
    The twist lock grip seems fine, but the thin adjustable neck just broke in a spot I don't adjust, near the joint where the thin and thick parts are joined. Neat idea, just not durable.

    I bought this and returned it. I bought this to clip to my mother's food tray at her nursing home that she lives at to show her some of my pictures that are on my Samsung tablet. The wire is very difficult to maneuver and when I put my tablet on it the wire would lower down and I had a very hard time adjusting it. You need to have massive muscles to maneuver the wire the way you want it. I returned it due to this fact. I later went and bought a tablet stand which I like better for around the same price, but at a different store online. I do NOT recommend this product.
