NOT SURE HOW TO DO THIS, DON'T USUALLY DO PRODUCT REVIEWS - I WILL SAY AS A FORMER TAX PREPARER - I HAVE USED A LOT OF TAX PROGRAMS IN THE PAST (INCLUDING TURBOTAX PROFESSIONAL - THIS IS MUCH BETTER THAN I IMAGINED. I HAVE BEEN PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY THE DEPTH OF THIS PROGRAM - NOT DONE W/TAXES YET, BUT VERY OPTIMISTIC ABOUT THE FINAL OUTCOME.

    I did my Federal and State in 6 hours
    I have a fairly complex return with Stocks, ESPP, RSUs and higher education expenses that included 529 plan disbursements. i spent the first hour organizing all my documentation and installing the program. It updated twice once after the install and once at the end of the day. I was able to get my federal ( I owe), state (refund), and a property tax (refund) all done. I have been using TurboTax for about 11 years now and I have to say that this year is a very good edition. I was very impressed at the User Interface as it was Intuitive without being intrusive and the hints were very helpful, especially on the higher education/529 portion of the filing as this is the first year for these expenses. I was able to locate all of the documentation online that had not been mailed to me and TurboTax had great suggestions on how to get the info. Also, the capability to download the information from financial institutions makes things much easier.

    Turbotax makes filing your taxes a breeze with their easy to use question and answer forms. Before you order TurboTax on disk, make sure you only want to install it on one computer. If, for example, you want to put it on a device without a cd drive or usb port, you can't do it. Even though the TurboTax site tells you that they can "push" a download to their online site for you, they will tell you to contact your place of purchase to either have them "push" it for you or you will have to return the disk and buy the online version. A big hassle.

    Fast, Economical way to do your own taxes
    It took me an hour to complete two tax returns. One being more complicated than the other. The language used is simple, not technical, and a person who DOES NOT understand finance terminology will not get lost. Super simple to set up on your pc and loads relatively fast.

    Great Tax Software
    I've been using Turbo Tax Premier for several years now to do both my return and my parents, including investment income and dividends, foreign tax paid, etc. The software makes it all easy. I would definitely recommend. Many years ago I tried a well known tax preparation firm and the person I worked with knew less than I did and it was not worth the several hundred dollars. Have been doing my own with software assistance since then.

    On Time Turbo Tax Premier
    Pros: No hassle ordering at the same price I would have paid at BJ's or Costco, but I didn't have to go look, and it was on sale at Beach Camera before the prices dropped at the others. Agood purchase test, and I'll certainly look here again the next time I need something. Anyone who tries to do taxes w/out TT should have their head checked! Cons: None

    Tax Day is on Its Way!
    I have used Turbo Tax annually for the past 15 years: It is a great product! This year I ordered it from Wal-Mart instead of directly from Intuit. The tax software disc arrived in my mailbox in fewer than 48 hours. I applaud Wal=Mart for the product's pricing and the convenience of ordering online.
