NAS Drive, seems to be OK
This is a replacement for a failing drive in my NAS. It works as it should. I will update should that change within the warranty period.

    Good purchase.
Arrived properly packaged against shock / drops / rough handling. Plugged it in, loaded an operating system. No problems with the drive. It does tend to be a little noisy when a lot of hard drive activity is occurring due to head movement inside the drive. This noise is not objectionable, although your mileage may vary. Idle noise (spinning disk only) is inaudible.

    An actual product review
So, unlike the "geniuses" below who rated the ITEM based on Wal-Mart's alleged ADVERTISING errors, I will review the actual PRODUCT. I have 3 of these drives working in a RAID 5 array in a Synology NAS. No complaints. They don't seem any more noisy than any other drives , are rock solid in terms of reliability, and fast enough for my purposes. If you know anything about NAS hard drives, they aren't designed for hyper-speed data retrieval - thats what an SSD does. NAS hard drices are designed for heavy use and reliability - and this drive delivers.
