I love Timex watches!
I love everything about the face of this watch! The size, how easy it is to read the numbers (even without my glasses!) the date window, having a second hand - it's so nice. The expansion band is just not that great, though. First, it's too small for me and i have purchased other watches that are too big, so i don't think i have an overly large wrist. It may be because of the size, but it pinches my skin. I contacted Timex directly and they can install some additional links for only $4 or $5, but i didn't want to go to the hassle of sending it to them. So, I bought a Spiedel expansion band (be careful - this watch uses the curved end and they aren't that readily available), put it on the watch by myself and it's absolutely perfect! I was even able to put my RoadID medical tags on the band before putting it on the watch. This watch is a terrific deal and if it's anything like other Timex watches I've had over the years, it, too, will be a workhorse and last forever!

"winder" broke, leaving sharp edge
my mother moved to an assisted living facility in nov.. so, we hadn't been able to visit, until recently. and, she showed me that "winder" somehow broke, leaving a sharp edge. she said it's been that way for a while, and it digs into her wrist. my sister bought her a new watch, but, she really liked this one.

It goes with both silver and gold and the band fits perfectly without sliding off to one side. The watch face is easy to read without being too big and oversized. It would have been wonderful to have had an option for a slightly larger wristband. Over time it will likely loosen and it will then be the perfect watch.keep it simple

I have smallish wrists so that shouldn't be an issue. I suspect price constraints have caused chinzing on the number of inserts to make it painfully small. Unless you have a child's wrist, wouldn't buy.Gayle

My wrist is 7 inches in diameter and I wear a medium in all of my shirts. I'm not a big person and I really thought this watch would fit but it doesn't. I had a stroke which is why I need a stretch band. I can't put on a regular band. Oh well, I'll just wear this mens watch for now.Eileen D

The dial is easy to read and the light up feature is convenient in low light. I like having a watch that is reliable and not so fragile that it needs to be constantly protected. I have a small wrist and this watch has a 1” diameter which doesn't overpower my wrist. Yet the numerals are large and clear. It has a second hand and a small box that tells the date. (You pull the setting button out half way to set the date and all the way to set the time. A helpful service rep explained this!) Some reviewers complained that the band wasn't long enough. With my small wrist I actually have extra room. The bracelet is 6” long while unexpanded.Tenderfoot

The batteries, of course, only last so long, and I found it difficult to replace them. This particular model looks very nice, but the band fits rather snugly.Cherie M
