Greatly encourages imaginative play
I was so excited to see my son play with this item. He was eager to open. The packaging was very neat and organized. There weren't too many pieces to assemble. Assembly took less than 7 minutes total. The track pieces fit together great and do not fall apart easily. It comes with many cool pieces: two trains, a tree, plane, pilot, and a lot of mini animals. My son played with this toy for 30 minutes straight upon setting up, and requested it the very next morning, and the following days. After the first day he was eager to disassemble, and move it on his own to create his own track. He was able to reassemble it his way, independently. Very cool toy that sparks imagination, encourages hand-eye-coordination, and critical thinking skills. Very age appropriate and entertaining. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Very nice train set but they advertise that it interlocks with the other Thomas train tracks. Very disappointed that the track doesnt interlock with the original Thomas the train track.... so if you are purchasing this set you need to by extra track.

    Not as pictured
    I must give this item only 3 stars because it did not come as pictured. There is no Sir Toppam Hat figure and the detailing on Nia and her car are not as pictured. These may seem like minute details but for a six year old boy with autism....these were very important details.

    Worth every dime!

    Awesome
    My 3 year old son loves this set and he only needs help with the bridge otherwise he can create a different track each day. He really loves the animals that come out of the cars. I even found myself playing with it and creating new track layouts together. We have other sets we add to it and the Thomas brand has better quality bridges that don't tip over versus the other brands.

    Beautifully Crafted Train Set
    We got this train set about a week ago. My son especially loved all the animals it came with. The pieces are all very well made and the trains have beautiful designs on them. There were no building directions though, we had to reference the picture on the box and if you put an animal in the back of the train it doesn't fit under the bridge.     Love the World Adventure Theme!
    I received this set for free in exchange for an honest review. I was really excited to get the chance to review this set. My son enjoys playing with wooden trains and this looked like a fun new set. My son has been really into learning about different countries recently, so he really liked the Big World Adventures theme. He loved "traveling" to the the different country areas (China, India, and Australia). He also liked the included animals. I feel like the theme of this set with the animals and country landmarks like the Great Wall of China make it stand out as a unique set from other wooden train sets that we own or that I have seen before. When I asked him, he said "the countries" were his favorite part of the set. He also like having the rescue plane included in addition to a train. It kept his attention for a good amount of time when we first opened it, and he went back to play with it the next day too and has kept it out on his train table. Overall, I think the quality of both the wood and plastic pieces seems to be good, even against a boy like mine who likes to "crash" things apart. I wasn't worried about anything breaking easily. It was also pretty easy to assemble. My just turned four year old was able to do it almost all by himself with just a little help and guidance. I do wish that the wooden pieces were compatible with other "standard" wooden train sets on their own instead of being a proprietary style. I did appreciate that they at least included a couple adapter pieces though. My son added on some of his other tracks, and they worked fine. I wouldn't have minded seeing a little more included with the set, but overall it is a very fun and unique wooden train set that my son really enjoyed getting. It would make a good addition to the wooden train collection for any kid is a fan of Thomas, animals, and/or learning about the world/travel. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
