This is a great buy.
We bought this tent on the strength of other reviews I read elsewhere. Put the tent up but not been camping yet. First impression is very favourable. It looks the business. Its very military in appearance which l personally like. Some will love the look, some will hate it. I think a tent should be dark and cosy inside and this one is. I also subscribe to the "BLEND IN" philosophy of camping and am not a big fan of orange tents. It's got some great thoughtful features, like the insect mesh integrated in the main doors of the tent: vents placed high up lining up with insect mesh on the inner to allow hot moist air to escape, reducing condensation: built in baffles so water blown up into the vent in high winds won't get blown in. The main door with 2 openings that can either act as wind breaks or scoops and a great eave overhang on the main door will allow it to stay open in hot humid conditions and not allow showers of rain in to the tent. I also like the way the fly uses plastic buckles with tensioners to attach to the inner, no pegging into the ground. I am looking forward to getting out with the cave and I can almost guarantee it will perform as well as it looks.

I bought both a Snugpak Cave and Scorpion 3 back when they were only avalable in europe and had to be shipped in. The fly first pitch design is fantastic, and the quality is amazing. Ive used them for years in all seasons and love them. I hope the US imports are still as good, but i paid a lot more Then this.
