Excellent calculator-- definitely worth the money
I am a sophomore in high school and I will be taking AP Calculus soon. This class also has a bit of Trigonometry. I have tried various mathematical problems, ranging from the most complex, to the simplest of them all. After doing so, I learned that this calculator is very efficient and fast in solving practically any math problem the average high schooler will see. In addition to its efficiency, it allows for multiple applications which you can easily download from a computer. I have to admit, though, that the buttons and controls may be a bit confusing to someone new to the TI calculator series. However, with a bit of practice and reading, this calculator will be simple. The TI-84 plus is truly a good option for a student in need of a graphing calculator, but isn't wealthy enough to afford those flashy, color calculators.

Package cut open.
Im not sure on the operation of the calculator yet, but Im pretty upset the package looked as if it was cut open (as if someone used it and returned it) and now it was shipped to me. This comes down to some quality control before being sent out or it was deliberate. Brian B.

    Useful for many years
    This calculator is worth the money as you/your child will use it from middle school through college. No extra bells or whistles but serves it's purpose without breaking the bank year after year.

    Poor delivery services usually
    Calculator is fine. Walmart's delivery services are terrible, this time ontrac threw the calculator over my 5ft stucco wall 15ft into my driveway. last time they dropped soda over the wall exploding several.

    Item Not Packed Properly ... Shipped horribly
    The item is fine, thankfully, but it did not have any packing in the box to absorb impacts, and the plastic shell package was completely broken open. Luckily, it does not seem to have any negative effect on the calculator, as of yet.

    And this is why I hate buying stuff online
    Calculators arrived on time. However one had already been opened and is missing the synch cable instruction manual and case. Unfortunately it is needed for exams and I don't have time to return and order another. Hopefully it will actually work and function properly.

    Calculator is not new in package
    Graphing calculator was not new in package. Similar to another review, the calculator I received was cut open at the top and I do not know if it was used and returned and now shipped to another customer. I am not pleased with this product and Walmart should not be selling it as a new product if its clearly been opened.

    Buy it!
    Good price for a great calculator! It is new enough for a graphing calculator (I'm talking about the model) because I think the newer ones are not really necessary, and you can save money! Extremely helpful for classes like Statistics, Calculus, and all of the other Math classes.

    Best Calculator Out There!
    I am currentky a college student entolled at Northwest Arkansas Community College and this particular calculator has done me well! Ive taken quite a few math classes the 2 1/2 years ive been there and i dont know how i would have managed with this! You can do nearly any problem you can imagine on it. Especially once you figure out all the tips and tricks that are hidden in the on it! It’s a very fast and convient calculator to have on hand and I would recommend to anyone!
