17" laptop case hard to find
This case is a duplicate of one I had bought 7 years ago. I had to replace it due to the zippers breaking. This is the only case less than a $100 that fits a 17" workstation grade laptop comfortably. So far it has performed flawlessly.

This is a good case for the price!
The sleeve I bought for extra protection and my 17.3 inch HP laptop fit nicely inside this case. There are plenty of pockets, etc. to hold all the extras. My only complaint is that the large flap on the outside rides up on both the left and right side instead of laying flat.

    Had one for 11 years, have a new one now
    Bought my first in January, 2006. It's still in service. Didn't blink twice when it came to needing a second one. The zippers handles broke off on the original one years ago, and the handle D-ring springs gave out, too, but NOTHING else did. Rock solid, and I overpack the thing ALL the time.

    Great Value.
    Targus with its lifetime guarantee is awesome. I have two other bags similar to this, one 5 years and the other is 10 years. Both are durable and still look great. Other bags similar on the market from other ecommerce places like Amazon. I like Amazon, but this bag is a no-brainer. The others posted on Amazon are not lifetime warranty. Look at the fine print. They may be good bags, but if you have a problem, will they stand behind it? I know Targus will. If you are already investing $40-50 into a bag what is a few extra dollar to get that lifetime warranty and peace of mind? There was no question in my mind... Targus all the way.

    Just Right
    I bought two, one for me & my 17" HP and one for my son and his 15" HP. I was afraid it would be too small. I was afraid it would be too big. Works great for both of us. Big enough to carry all our accessories but not too big. Plenty of pockets and pouches to keep things separate and organized. Nice looking. Just thick enough to stay standing when you set it down. We're happy.

    Based on one I own it is perfect and durable
    This particular one is a gift to be given at the end of the month, but it is almost exactly like one I bought for my laptop by Targus in 2010 that has been ideal. I bought mine for a 15 inch as it gave me all the extra room I needed for school. It was used for 4 years and is still in good shape with a lot of use. This is a nicely set up bag that is durable for the student. That is why I got it as a present for another student to give at the end of this month.

    Perfect for my oversized laptop!
    I have an ASUS RoG G73JH laptop. It's a 17" screen, but because it's a gaming laptop, it has a funnel-shaped fan vent that adds extra bulk on the back of it. Because of this, many laptops built for a 17" screen won't fit it. However, this laptop bag is roomy enough to fit it. It's a snug fit, but it doesn't take unnecessary wrestling to get it in; not to mention that it means my laptop doesn't slide around in it. It came with a divider too, so if I were ever transporting a smaller device, I could fit it in there without that device sliding around. This case has an abundance of different pockets, perfect for my charging brick, mouse, headphones, and any other assorted accessories and cords that I need. The charging brick fits well, but does tend to add a bit of bulk onto the front. As with that vast majority of Targus products, this bag is very sturdy, which I appreciate, because it keeps my monster of a laptop safe. The case is relatively light for its size, and so it doesn't feel like I'm carrying too much extra weight. The shoulder strap is super padded, so it's very comfortable to have it situated there. Any decent laptop case that will stand the test of time is going to be a bit more expensive, but I've always been very happy with Targus products, and this case is no exception. I haven't had it for very long, but I am confident this will last, and was well worth the price for something that will (finally!) fit my laptop.

    Nices one I have seen
    I gave this computer laptop case to a young women who is getting ready to attend college. I was concerned that it might be too big for her to carry as she is of small frame. In her thank you card to me she said that it was the nices one that she had seen and that she was already using it.
