This is one of nintendos best there's countless hours of fun here designing stages and creating mechanics. For any kids that want to design games, this is an amazing stage builder from one of the most recognized names in games. Two thumbs up.

Disappointed
I bought this a month ago and my son really wanted it after seeing videos online about it. My son is 9 and he said it's really boring and not what he thought it would be like. It's a really expensive game, like most games are now but those games are usually good games that provide lots of entertainment and in the last month if him having it. He has only played it twice. Very disappointed in this purchase and the cost

    My nine year old son, who loves video games, received this as an early Christmas gift. Played with it for several hours . Says he loves it! I'm not a fan of children playing video games for a long period of time , but this one was interesting because he had to think about how he was going to make and set up each game he was making ...

    Lots of fun
    Hours of creativity. Our 12yo is actually enjoying a game we played when we were young. If you were a fan of the original Mario Brothers game you will love this too.

    Fun for everyone!
    This game has a lot of levels and can be played over and over with new levels being made everyday. The fun part is you can make your own levels as well. I like to make a level and challenge my wife to beat it.

    My Kids love it!
    I have a 10, 8, and 5 year old mix of boys and a girl and they all LOVE this game and the silly things they can make and do. It keeps them busy and prompts a lot of "hey mom, come see this!" while they attempt to create a challenging course that they can submit online to have others try it, and at the same time try the courses that others have made.

    My son loves this game
    From my son's perspective (my only basis for the review) Super Mario Maker is an excellent video game. So far he has been able to design challenging custom levels (courses?) for Super Mario Bros. and tested it out before uploading it for others to try. Now if only I can get him to show as much focus and determination with his homework!
