Good for the price
The price cannot be beat. I needed extra outside storage and this product does the trick. The brand/model does not seem as sturdy as the more expensive options on the market. The ability to lock the deck box is a plus. Once it is put together, it feels a little more sturdy. The pieces did not go together all that well, or at least in a way I would feel good about leaving the box out in the weather. I decided to caulk all of the inside seems before putting this box outside. As other reviewers have noted, I would not sit on this deck box or use it as a bench. The top does not feel like it could handle the weight of a person, maybe a child but not an adult. Overall I am happy with this product and I would recommend it to others, with the above warnings.

Expected more for the money
The plastic box comes in sections (front, side, back, top, etc) which snap together without screws or tools but the result is less than optimal. It's lightweight, which is nice, but for the money, I expected a little more engineering involving metal bolts or screws to make it sturdier. The pieces do not snap together well enough in every case. Overall, it's lightweight, impervious to the weather, easy to put together, and the hinged top is easy to lift. But overall, the box is flimsier than I had expected. I deployed it just outside my pool area on a flat grass surface, storing pool hoses along with three or four 1-liter plastic containers. I like that my hoses can be stored straight, not coiled. But after about ten days, the box is sagging one one side. I will keep using it, but I expected something sturdier and will probably need to drill holes in strategic locations in the side and back plastic panels and install some L-brackets and small metal threaded nuts and bolts to make sure the box holds together over time.

It's a thin walled storage box
The cardboard box it cane in was thicker! It looks beefy on the outside, but this is thin walled. The lid mounting points are thin as well, but sonce it's so light, i think it may hold up (im not counting on it) i dont think it's going to last with Sun's rays beating down on it (all plastics get brittle and fade over time) As long as you know it's just for storage, not a bench you'll be ok with this item. Waterproof? I guess, but if u see the handles, there are holes on them . I used clear package tape on the inner seams to be sure no water can get into it. (See picture) My box didnt came with instructions, but i put together easily with no tools. I put the floors together first, then attach it to the back wall. Add the sides, lay the back down to add the front, & finally snap on the lid and straps. Made in the USA is a plus, but the quality is a bit lacking for the price i paid.

    Great for outdoor toy box
I was worried about getting this due to all the reviews about it being flimsy, but I needed something this length to put my double wide hammock in, so I took a chance and bought it. I'm glad I did. It is true you can't sit on it...but they make others (benches) for that. This is just a box. But it comes together easily and the corners and lid fit together well enough to keep bugs and dirt out. Is it waterproof? I wouldn't try to use it as a boat, but it is the rainy season down here in Florida, and so far it has kept everything dry from the afternoon storms we have. It's sturdy enough to keep all of my daughter's outside toys together...even the large ones like her bubble lawn mower and lots of balls. It's very roomy and the lid is light enough for her to open by herself when it is time to clean up. For the people saying it is flimsy, think of the thickness of the walls of those plastic storage containers people use for extra clothes and holiday decorations. It's a big plastic outdoor box.

Good protection for your gear IF on even surface
The deck box is easy to assemble, and seems to do a good job protecting gear from the weather. I I do not expect that it will hold up to putting heavy items inside and rolling it to another location, as it is constructed of plastic without a frame. If you put this on an even surface it will do a great job. If you cannot put on a flat surface, it will flex and may not perform as well as expected.

    Useful but with two caveats
On the plus side, assembly is quite easy as it snaps together without the need of tools. It looks to be sufficiently tight to not admit water although a few drops might get in during a heavy rain. Be warned, though, that since the bottom panel comes in two sections it must be supported underneath. I have it on three 4x4s, one on either end and the third in the middle under where the two bottom halves meet. Also, I doubt the lid is strong enough to be used as a seat, at least not by adults.

Not a very sturdy or waterproof box
I was so excited to find this box, that fit all my cushions and at a good price.Easy to put together, but the box is very flimsy, and does not fit air tight. Its been two days and the top no longer fits tight. It has shifted to the side. I threw out the box it came in, so I am stuck with it. I have moved it to the garage, because it will not keep my cushions dry, because the top does not fit tight anymore.. Would buy a heavier and sturdier box, next time.

    Good, with some flaws
I purchased a smaller version of this same deck box a couple of years ago and have been very happy with it. It has held up well and keeps everything inside nice and dry. I purchased a new patio set that has more seats/cushions, so I needed a bigger one, so I ordered this one. I'm not quite as impressed. It doesn't seem quite as solid as my other one and I'm having trouble with the lid closing properly. My guess is that the plastic is a little warped from packing. I'm hoping that it will flatten out. It's not horrible, but, it is enough so that it doesn't sit tight around the base, which means when it rains, water is likely to get in. I'm going to have to wait and see. Overall, it looks nice, just doesn't seem to be as well made as the last one I bought, which is identical, just smaller.

Great large storage for a good price
Largest size I could find and holds all the boys toys and sports equipment. Still hoping someone makes a larger box someday. Assembled in 10 minutes and the box fits tightly, unlike several others I own. The color is fine but would like to see other choices to help blend with our home's exterior.
