Can't go wrong with this purchase!
This King-Sized heating pad has been a God-send! Where has it been all my life?! How could anyone write a negative review about a product that provides such valuable comfort and pain relief?! If you NEED a heating pad, don't hesitate to buy this! Definitely worth it!

I really like this heating pad.
I saw some negative reviews of this product, and some I agree with, such as the plastic becoming splayed near the top of the cord (I cut-off the splays) and the cover not staying on (I have 4 big safety pins that keep it in place). There are things about it that override these for me. One is that it doesn't turn off automatically. I understand that may be a problem for some, but turning itself off is a bigger problem for me. (It would help if the "ON" light shone through both sides of the control.) It does get very hot on high, especially if something is over it, but for me, that's also a good thing. The cord is extra long, and the pad itself is big enough to drape my lower back or wrap around my knee. It's been a quality-of-life-saver for me and my severe arthritis. I can understand why it's not for everyone, though. I've had mine for several years, and I just bought one for my husband.

    no time off switch.
the heating pad gets very hot and that's just what I wanted. On low it's pretty warm and does the job. the down fwll of this heating pad thus far is that it doesnt shut off after any time period. the heating pad stayed on for almost 2 days before I figured I should give it a break before it breaks or catches fire.

    Not appropriate for us
Overall, this is a so-so heating pad - I think I should have purchased one with more heat settings. I bought this for my husband who has arthritis in his back, and he tells me that even on the lowest setting, the pad is too hot. I am reluctant to try it on my own arthritic knees because i also want something with gentle heat. Will give away, I guess, and look for something more appropriate for our needs.

Worst Heating Pad I have ever used
I bought this heating pad last month as a replacement for one that I have had for a few years. I am a chronic pain patient and heating pads make a huge difference. This heating pad heats well and quickly. At the highest setting it is definitely too hot when leaned against it. The biggest issue id that the heating pad is all plastic so it bends, sticks to itself, and doesnt go flat again. The other issue is that the cover does not stay on well. This wouldnt be the worst thing if the pad wasnt made of plastic that is sharp and scratchy on the edge. Especially where the wire connects to the pad. I have had other heating pads from this brand that were decent, but this one, so disappointing.
