No more fall/ winter dry throat & sinus infections
PROS: - Quiet mode - Multiple modes (low/ quiet), medium comfort, express high) - Multiple him humidity percentages - Water lasts for several days if used on low quiet at 45% or 50% CONS: - Bulky - Cord length limits location and placement relative to a plug My home is multi level and the living room gets dry and staticy during the fall/ winter. I placed this on the 2nd level in the kitchen. I bought this about 4 years ago from my local Walmart. I wanted to solve my annual fall/ winter issue of waking up with a dry or sore throat. Prior to owning this, if I feel asleep on the couch, I'd wake up with an irritated throat that within 3 days turned into congestion/stuffiness and then a sinus infection or bronchitis. I've been been sinus infection and bronchitis free for 4 years. Woooohoooo! This really helped me alot. Also I don't use it in the summer.

Can't Give It Zero, So I had to give it a 1.
This isn't Wal-Mart's fault. It's Sunbeam. They will offer you no support after the first year - by which I mean, even if you wanted to buy the replacement gaskets you WILL need after 2 seasons, YOU CANNOT GET THEM. Take a look at the attached picture. That thin, flimsy gasket - which is fine for the job I guess - WILL WEAR OUT and NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, but you CANNOT. Whole thing killed for 8 cents worth of parts. So this thing is worth it for 1 year, and 1 year only. At this price, it's insane. Don't do it. Sunbeam doesn't stand behind this product. I asked them, on their site, for the parts. I was more than happy to purchase them - these are wearable items, I'm sure: Sunbeam: "Unfortunately, I cannot supply a tank cap that we do not have. Again, I apologize about the inconvenience. If you would like me to verify warranty information, I would be happy to assist you further." Me: " So we can't even purchase replacement tanks? Or lids? Nothing? No Parts?" Sunbeam: "Unfortunately, there are no parts available for this unit."

    Sunbeam Whole House Humifier
This unit works better than the last we had since it it runs for 24/7. I put water in it about every other day. The filter has lasted for about 3 to 4 weeks and I am just now changing it. The previous humidifier filter lasted about the same. I also like the different settings for the unit.

    Great Humdifier
This humidifier is GREAT! We use it in the bedroom during the cold, dry, winter months. It does an excellent job not only humidifying, but cleaning the air, too. The only reason why we won't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't have an automatic "shut-off feature" when it runs out of water. A simple solution to that problem is to buy a cheap automatic wall timer. Just plug it in, and set the time (usually 8-10 hours), it shuts itself off, and it doesn't turn itself back on when the timer comes back on. YOU have to turn it back on MANUALLY (which makes you refill the tanks before using it again). Just makes sense, huh?

    Works great in my house.
My house was to dry, and my daughter recommended this humidifier. She bought it for me and I am very satisfied with the humidifier. My house has exactly the right humidity to be comfortable. The only complaint I have, it is loud when it is on. But I can overlook this because it does make my house easier to live in. Thank you!

    Noisy
This is the second one (identica)l I have bought. First one is great, nice and quiet, etc. Saw reviews saying this was noisy, and wondered what they expected? Now I have this identical unit, which is noisiest on the QUIET/LOW setting. I would like to return it, but don't know how to go about this; can I just take it back to a store?? Sorry, I still like the first one, and would like to have another quiet one like it.

    EZ Set-up and filling
No problems at all getting this unit up and running. No leaks or drips. Works well in a 15' x 20' room, able to get the humidity level as high as 60%. Running it on constant did not get a higher reading than 60%.

    Good product
I am very happy with this product and only wish it had an automatic shutoff when empty. If it had the auto shutoff it would be 5 stars I read the reviews for this humidifier and then started looking for other options of humidifiers to purchase. After reading many reviews for the different humidifiers, there was not a single one that did not have a large amount of negative reviews. I decided to purchase this one and if it didn't work or meet our expectations we could always return it. We have had this product for about 1 month and from the moment it was taken out of the box there has not been a single negative experience with this product. We have it located in our open concept main level (living / dining / kitchen); running on the "medium" and "stay on" options.

    Best Humidifier In Its Class
I live in Colorado and have used dozens of different types and styles of humidifiers over the years. This model is by far the easiest to maintain and use. It is also extremely capable when it comes to putting a lot of moisture into a large space. The best feature of this unit is the easy to refill water containers. On high, the containers last about 24 hours. On low, you can stretch to almost two days. I like this unit so much I purchased THREE of them. I have a 4,500sqft home and game one on each level. They work great. I believe that the reviews from people complaining that they leak are due to operator error, not a problem with the unit's design. I've had zero trouble with my units over the last three months of operation.
