Great phone so far.
So far so good. We started out with the S3 and you could not get the latest updates because we had them for so long so I went and got the hubby and I the galaxy grand prime. Those are horrible!!! I put in a brand new sd card and it kept saying that I had no storage. I took it to Walmart and one of their tech guys couldn't believe it. So I got an S5 after doing lots of research. I thought we'll we will go with the S7 but, we'll we all seen the news on those. Talked to a few ppl about the S6 and they hated it. Kept crashing and losing all of their contacts and everything when it did that. So now I will be buying one for the hubby. My daughter even bought one and loves it. It takes great pics. Love the speed of the net when not connected to my wifi. At work 2 staff members were trying to look up something on their phones and couldn't get enough service so I handed my phone to them and they did it. They were surprised that I had crazy service there. I highly recommend this phone. You will love it.

Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy S5
This S5was replacing a Samsung Galaxy S3 - twice the cpu power, twice the memory, and 4G instead of 3G. If I rate on being able to use it as a phone, 4 stars...but it's supposed to be more than a phone. The camera is supposed to be better, but they changed the software taking away a bunch of options, using instead a newer 'smarter' software that is slower than molasses. The Gallery software can't handle the thousands of pics that were on the old phone (sometimes the old phone had a problem, but a reboot and it was fine again). Went and bought a new 64G sd card (SanDisk Extreme Pro 64 GB Class 10 UHS-I 95 MBps Read U3 V30 MicroSD) to see if that would 'cure' the problem and cut the pics from over 8,000 to less than 800. Still get blank screen at times (like it just powered off ), Gallery stops for no reason...Still have the old S3 and will probably go back to using it instead.

    Love it!
I had the Samsung Galaxy 3, decided to upgrade to the 5. (Couldn't afford any higher). It is so much faster and so much nicer than my 3. I use to have problems pulling up websites on my 3 when I was out and about and had no internet. With the 5, I can pull up websites quickly when no internet is available, that is really nice. Everything is just so much better. I like the waterproof feature. I can take to the pool now with no worries! If I had to pick one thing I'm not thrilled about, when using speakerphone, the sound kind of vibrates like it's too loud for the speaker to handle. My 3 never did that. But that's really the only issue I have. Otherwise, it's been an awesome upgrade! Oh, and can't forget to mention how fast it recharges. Way faster than the 3. Very, very happy with the phone.

    So glad I upgraded!
I had the same Samsung phone for 2 years and it was time for an upgrade. After some research, I decided to go with the Samsung Galaxy S5. The Black Friday price of $149.99 was unbeatable as was the 4G LTE service. I've had the phone for 2 weeks now and love it. It's so much faster than my previous one and the extra settings are wonderful. The bigger size makes viewing photos and videos a breeze. The camera quality isn't as good as I had expected but it's definitely a step or two up from my previous phone. I was a bit concerned that the operating system listed was Android 4.2 since Straight Talk doesn't update its software, but after setting up my phone, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it had updated to 6.0.1. Overall, I am pleased with the quality of this phone and look forward to at least a couple years of usage before I consider upgrading again.

    S3 upgrade
I'm not spending over $150.00 for a outdated phone. This was way better than my S3. I haven't had anything bad to say about it yet. Put a otterbox defender on it, and it's great. I can go 12 hours before I need a charge. All around better than what I had but, not the S7. Comes with a wall charger usb 3.0, and earphones. Verizon towers. 4G LT all the time. So over the slow 3g. Also my gps is now responsive with the speedometer I use compared to the S3 gps. I got it on the black friday sale. I had to order another charger adapter for the car. The charger that comes with the phone is also very very fast to charge your phone. It took only two minutes from the website of straighttalk to switch over phones. I also only use the year card. I put a 16GB sd card in for storage. I now can scan barcodes, but bought an app on play store to do that.

love the phone, hate the charging port.
I ordered one for my husband and my father to replace out of date smart phones. They love the size of them, the picture clarity and basically everything. With that said, what was Samsung thinking when they designed the charging access area. The little door that flips to the side is cheap and something thatt I can see breaking off. Not to mention that the otterbox case does not cover that area. I made sure to purchase a protection plan for sure becauseof the charging area. Other than that, the phones are great.

    Samsung s5
I upgraded from Galaxy S3, (the battery wouldn't hold a charge). Decided on S5 due to the price drop of $100. Walmart was user friendly, knowledgeable in store employees. There were no S5's in stock so I ordered online to pickup in store. This process was seamless, as was the transfer with Straight Talk. The S5 is a bit larger than S3, I can use the same power cord so no additional accessories other than cover was needed. The battery lasts much longer but I do need to charge a few times during the day. Overall, it's a great product for the price.

    The ST Samsung S-5 Delivers
I upgraded after finally killing off my Samsung S-3. It has become out-dated, but I didn't want to go through the hassle of transferring over files and reinstalling apps. The S-5 made the transition simple and it has outstanding performance. I inserted my micro sandisk the moment I opened it up and I have been pleased since. It runs off Verizon towers which are predominant for coverage in the region where we live. It does everything that the high dollar Verizon contract provides, but I am getting it for $45 a month plus E-911 fee and tax (reload card). I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would definitely buy it again if I had it to do over again!

    Not what they advertised
Phone advertised as 4G LTE, but my phone has been on 3G the whole time. I have spoke with Straight Talk and the associates at the store even called about the issue. I get the same response about the 4G LTE is not in my area which is not true. I had a Samsung S4 that was on the AT&T and I had no problem with the 4G LTE network. This phones is on the Verizon towers which states it should be 4G LTE, but it's not and I'm very unhappy with phone.
