The perfect shelf.
This is the perfect shelf for the chest of drawers. It fits great,seams sturdy and adds lots of extra space by using the dead space above the drawers. I have the drawers too, and I have been concerned, about putting too much weight on the top of the chest of drawers. This shelf fixes that concern. The bottom shelf of this shelf takes weight on it instead of the drawers. I plan to buy another one.

Shipment wasn't complete
Love the shelving unit...once I got it all. It was shipped with only 2 shelves instead of the 3. So, I just ordered another one and returned the 2 shelf one (though box does say shelves). Other than that, it's great. Sturdy. Fit perfectly next to laundry tub in basement.

    Great Add On Item
    The second time I've bought this item. This one was a Christmas Gift. I use this item in combination with the Sterilite drawers. Its compatible with quite a few of them including the $40 brown woven draw that you can find in many Walmarts. I've tried it with the 3 Drawer and 4 Drawer that Sterlite sells and it works fine. Try looking in the product picture or on the item for circles along the top. These pop off and allow you to put the shelving on top of them. This item used to be sold as a bundle on Walmart but has not for some time, unfortunately. Assembly took less than five minutes and requires no tools. Just push the legs into the shelf and apply the foot caps if you're using it as a stand-alone. If you're combining it with a drawer just stick the legs directly into the top and lay the shelving on top of it, and repeat. This is a great inexpensive storage solution, especially for an older child's room since its so durable.

    Light, sturdy shelving
    I've purchased 3 of these shelves so far. They are easy to put together, light weight for moving, and I'm using one to hold an HP desktop printer/fax/copier on the top shelf, with 2 Sterilite drawers on the middle shelves. With the bigger Sterilite drawers these can practically be made into something similar to a dresser.

    I would have given this item a 5 star but they do not offer extra legs. If you attach this to the drawers you have an extra shelf. When I contacted the company to ask for for extra legs to be able to use the extra shelf, they said they weren't available separately.

    Great Shelf Add-On for $-Drawer Sterilite Unit
    Bought to add to the 4-drawer matching unit as a top shelf. Works perfectly. The legs fit into slots on top of the drawer unit securing it in place. Excellent product at a great price. Adds additional storage to the drawer unit for larger items. Pleasantly surprised at how well it is made and how sturdy it is. It would also have worked perfectly as a stand alone unit, it is sturdy enough to do so.

    This shelf unit comes un-assembled in a flat box (great for shipping) and sets up in a few minutes. Pushing in the legs is easy, but to make them stay you may need to use some force to push them in all the way. Make sure to have a rag/towel handy to save the skin on your hands since the plastic is hollow. In my opinion, you cannot beat the price for the value of these shelves. It is also unusual to get shelves with so much clearance. They are working great for my closet to handle my shoe boxes and a Rubbermaid container with handbags.
