3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/11/2016Know what you want to use it for.The pad is very light - for a through-hike, a very important quality. I tried to use it as an internal support for an ultra-light ruck sack, but the foam is too thin and lacks good structural integrity even when loosely rolled up. I cut it in half and, at about 4oz, it provides a very light weight pad to sit/recline on during short breaks from hiking. If you need such a pad, it's OK. I would not recommend it for sleeping on, however, as there is not enough adding by itself.anonymous

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/08/2016I mean...The bought the pad for a camping trip I was taking with my boyfriend. Him and I ended up using it as a picnic "blanket", a yoga matt, and a place to put our shoes on in the past couple of months. However, it definitely does not do any good as a sleeping pad.MeganA2845

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/08/2014Extra firm, great for outdoor sleepingI bought five of these to use as a makeshift mattress when camping. However, these pads are so firm that even five of them barely compress. It is much more comfortable than sleeping on the ground but can be hard for side sleepers. Two or at the most three are enough to insulate from the ground. These are very useful for sleeping on gravel or other hard, uneven surfaces as their firmness does not allow rocks and roots to push through.chemint

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/02/2014very thinThis is a very thin pad, much thinner than I expected. It came torn, and I had to replace it. I haven't used it outdoors yet, but I don't expect it to be durable at all. I hope it will at least work as a decent insulator.tInTheMorning

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/20/2013A bit too thinThis pad was ok for my camping trip. It was sufficient to provide some kind of padding on the camp ground but wished it would be thicker for comfort and protection. But overall it met my expectations.ChouY

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/23/2013Okay, but not really what I neededWe ordered this very last minute for my 3 year old son to place under his sleeping bag. He was sleeping on the wood floor of my in-laws home. Although it seemed okay, I was concerned that there was not enough "plush" between him and the floor. I had read the product specs and knew what I was ordering, hindsight, I should have gotten a blow up air mattress to appease myself. Great value, great size especially the length, just not what I needed for this instance.WMtoMacys
