Great product & Great Savings
This saved me over $250 compared to the named brands like Thule & Yakima. Thule actually owns sportrack. The quality is good, the space is huge and couldn't be more pleased.

Inaccurate Dimensions
The dimensions listed are NOT accurate. The width is actually 33", not 23.8" as advertised, so it won't fit next to a roof-mount bike rack. I had to return it because of this. Also, one of the sidearms had popped off and I never could get it back together. A bit flimsy but it's a $250 box, not a $600 one! The Thule Sidekick (sold elsewhere for $50 more) is shorter but the width is 25" as advertised.

    Excellent car top carrier!
This carrier was excellent for loading lots of luggage and still having room left over. We took it on several 9-10 hour trips and had no problem whatsoever. We highly recommend this car top carrier!

    Coffin
Shipping was early, the shipper was great, the item was not packed very carefully and the box was dented, I was worried about damage. Also, there was no key, or it was lost, so I needed to bring my cargo holder over to a dealer and have it unlocked.

Not a good fit on 2013 4Runner, but a nice carrier
I like to be fair and honest, so here goes.... Overall quality, I give it a 5. Mine did arrive with a broken locking arm. Unit has 3 plastic locking arms and one was off the hinge and I can't seem to force it back on. Will make do as my trip is in 2 days and I can't wait for another. I rate it as 4 because it did not arrive in perfect condition and does not fit my 2013 4Runner correctly. I have factory crossbars and did follow the basic instructions. Install does require some intuition as the instructions can't cover every vehicle install. The issue with the fit is that my antennae (small shark fin style) on the top and back of the truck is too tall for this unit. I moved the carrier as far forward as possible and still scratched my antennae. I had to put felt furniture stickers (for chair legs to glide on wooden floors) on the carrier to not damage my antennae. I drove this evening to test noise/install. Very good at 80mph. I like the size and believe the quality will be just fine. I would recommend.

Works great but a bit awkward to mount
Bought for a ski trip. Mounted on 2007 Toyota Siena with factory roof rack. PROS: Fit roof rack with standard hardware. It easily held four pairs of skis/poles, some extra boots and coats, exercise mats, and even a good-sized utility sled. Wind noise and gas mileage reduction minimal. Kept contents dry even through torrential downpour with 40+ mph wind gusts. Easy to operate once mounted, with no problems loading/unloading equipment. CONS: Instructions were a bit minimalist. Had to find a Youtube video to make sure I was mounting correctly. Even though mounted as close to passenger side as possible, was difficult to reach fasteners on far side. Overall I'm satisfied, especially for the reasonable cost. Now that I know what I'm doing, future mounting/unmounting should be less troublesome, and would definitely be easier on a shorter vehicle.

Rack is great walmart shipping not so much
Thed Sport Rack arrived in perfect condition with no assembly required except for attaching to your cross bars. Very easy to complete. The rack is very large and I was able to fit 2 adult skis, snowboard, 2 kids skis, and boots for all. There was still room for other vacation storage as well. My only complaint is Walmart delivered it 4 days after they said it would arrive which caused us to not use be able to use it our first weekend break which it was bought for.

Great cargo box for the price
Car: 2008 Subaru Impreza w/ factory roof rack Box fits perfectly AND hatch opens with no interference. <<< I hope this helps some other Impreza owners. Install took 10 minutes... was really easy with the quick lock (or whatever they call it). Installing a second time should take 5min, now that I know how it works. Quality is great. Box feels solid... though noisy when empty (not supposed to use it empty). I bought a bungee cargo net for 15 dollars at a hardware store (in addition to straps it comes with) to secure cargo. Overall great quality for the price. This is basically a Thule without all the (unnecessary) bells/whistles.

    Great box for money
Super easy to install, works fantastic. looks great and functions well. Big names quality and feature set do not justify the 2 1/2 times more in price. Basic mounts but does the job nicely. I can buy another pair of skis to throw in this cargo box with the money I saved.

Perfect value carrier for occasional use
At $200 cheaper than brands like Thule, the SportRack is a tremendous value for users like myself that have a need for the carrier only 6-10x per year. The plastic is thinner and less durable but that also translates into lighter weight so that a single individual can lift it onto the roof and install. Having owned a Thule rack within the last five years, I can safely state that the hinge quality, lock and spring opener is of equal quality for the light wear this product will receive. I have some reservation regarding the plastic clasps (see the picture) being vulnerable to breakage. I would like to see the manufacturer provide foam forms that could protect them better from shifting gear. In the absence of such, I intend to wrap them with rags. Also, in order to install the U-brackets underneath, around the car's luggage cross bars, I needed to MacGyver a shim (rubber doorstop wedge) that really should have been included. For buyers of ANY rack, beware that the added height may be an issue with some garages (or all garages when my wife seems to take the car) and parking structures. Also, when you put the rack on your roof you pretty much block yourself out of using those automated car washes with spinning brushes as the brushes tend to get stuck on aftermarket carriers. Lastly, you should take the carrier off the car when not in use. The added wind drag has been reported to reduce your gas mileage by 2-6mpg on the roof of your car.
