Great for boating/fishing
I also use it on my boat, use two attwood rod holder bases screwed to a vertical surface about 8" apart. You need to alter the rivet that keeps the tip on the end of the male pole, I used an aluminum male/female screw set and rounded off the heads. Then secure it with nylon cord using the ring attached to the tip.

Arrived broken
I opened the umbrella for the first time at the beach, and it was broken. The stick in the middle was not connected to the top. We purchased it in March when it was still cold outside, and used it in June. We want to return it, but there is no return button because we bought it a while ago.

    Fantastic for a Day Shelter at the Beach
    I purchased this item (in person) prior to a trip to the beach. I have since used it several times, as I find it does an excellent job providing a reprive from the intensity of the sun. It is essentially a large, sturdy umbrella with added sides equipped with anchor points. The main pole extends to allow you to anchor the umbrella into the ground at various angles and depths (useful when considering different places of use and considering the sun's angle). I recommend using the sturdier stakes (provided) for the beach, and lighter ones for grass, which will keep it from blowing away ( as well as make it quick to pack up). The zippered windows are nice since unzipping them increases air flow, which can be done partially to keep the sun out while enjoying air circulation. I recommend getting either a low beach chair or lounger for under (will fit 2 average-sized ones) or laying a blanket down underneath for 3 - 4 smaller children or 2 - 3 adults.

    dont miss out
    this tent is big enough to fit at least 3 adults for sure but much more comfortable for 2. it was pretty windy this weekend at the beach and after about 5 hours of wind, I did have to readjust (Ive never put a tent together before so could be the reason) but it was very easy to set up. it comes with string, stakes and directions and I put it together by myself. I highly recommend it.

    Amazing umbrella
    A lot bigger then I expected. Fit my husband, our son, and I underneath it with room still to spare. And you can use it as a regular umbrella if you wish. Great item for the beach!

    Awesome for babies!
    This umbrella works amazing for babies on the beach. It can stake into the ground so it works well on windy days as well! Plenty of room for a couple chairs and a baby on the ground :-)

    Nice, but be careful!
    Nice umbrella; however, it broke on first use. Just like a regular umbrella, a big wind came, and the umbrella inverted and broke. So you have to be careful with it.

    My only regret is.........
    That I didn't spend the extra $20 & buy the XL......I absolutely love this product. It is amazing! We have had it 2 weeks & have used it 3 times already. So easy to bring along & set up! My husband & I already discussed buying the XL.

    Pain in the Tush!
    My friend had this umbrella and I thought it might work well for me. Its pretty much a pain in the but at the beach. You have to tie it down like a tent and the wind still blows it over. Not worth it. Mine as well just get a regular umbrella for the hassle.
