Great for lawn insects
Great insecticide for the lawn. Safe for pets if you follow instructions. Water after application then keep pets and kids off the area for 3 days. No very good with flying insects.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/01/2021My go to insecticide for keeping insects outAfter moving to the southeast a few years ago, I quickly learned that unlike my time in the mid-west, the bugs are plentiful. I dont mind the non-destructive ones, but here there are tons of termites, carpenter ants and bees, chiggers, among other things here. Living next to a nature preserve, I learned quickly after moving in and digging around my yard in order to make a flower garden, that chiggers were alive and well there. So, my go to for keeping bugs at bay is the Ortho bug b gone liquid spray and the granules from Spectricide. This works great at keeping those annoying bugs out of the yard. I regularly, every 3 months or so, spread this across the yard. As long as I give the yard an update every 3 to 6 months, I have had no issues with chiggers or any other type of annoying pest crawling in the yard. This helps with carpenter ants, termites and Japanese beetles too. This has worked well for me every year that I use this as I have had no pests in the yard since moving to the area. This 20 lb bag covers approximately 25,000 square feet at a reasonable cost of 12 bucks a bag. It does have a bit of an odor in the bag, so keep that in mind when storing. 5 starsJWS9518

The carton ripped and fell apart completely during FedEx Ground transit. The six bags arrived at our doorstep without the carton. Thankfully none ripped. The FedEx driver said the weight of the six bags was too much for the single carton to handle. The Spectracide itself is a fine product. The 1-star rating reflects the epic shipping failure, which the FedEx driver put squarely on Walmart's shoulders.John

Only problem was the box it came in was destroyed and one of the bags of insecticide was torn open and re- tapped. Looked like the bag was only about 3/4 full compared to the other bags.Raymond

Now my yard has returned to normal, my home free of ants, spiders, and stinging scorpions. Just sprinkle around the outside of the home and lightly water it in. Does awesome job.Videoguy37

It seems to work well. I usually do this once a year in the spring. I have also been sprinkling it on ant mounds that I find in my yard and it takes care of those pretty good too. Depending on the amount I use, I can get about a year out of a single bag.Daniel

The morning after putting it down we had grub worms coming up EVERYWHERE. Had no idea we had them so bad. I would say it helps with fleas but not a cure all. No more ants in my yard though! . Kinda a pain keeping the dogs up until it dries. However it's worth it! I'll definitely keep buying and treating my yard with it!Juanita

It is easy and simple to spread as long as you have lawn and garden spreader. One treatment lasts all season long.
