Beautiful!
The first one arrived with some damage, so I called South Shore directly. They were so helpful, and sent out a replacement free of charge! Now that I have it all put together I absolutely LOVE it! I also have the rest of the Country Pine bedroom furniture - the headboard just made it all come together beautifully!

Broke after 3 days
Attached this new headboard to the new frame I bought. Three days after setting it up, I scrunched up against the headboard and heard the wood snap. The outer piece of wood (where the bedframe is attached) snapped 12" up from the floor. My suggestion is that you reinforce the two outer pieces of wood from the floor up to the top with a 2 x 2 and screws.

The quality for the price was excellent. It looks great attached to the bed. The only problem I had was with the shipping and delivery, or lack thereof. It was shipped by Purolator, who doesn't delivery in my area, so they passed it off to Canada Post. Canada post won't deliver anything that large or heavy. They left a card in my mailbox to go pick it up at an outlet 22 km away. I'm not young any more so this was a challenge for me. I had to get a man with a truck. Had I known how they would ship it I probably wouldn't have ordered it. I wish you would ship via UPS, they do deliver to my door.B Lynn

The box arrived with a couple of damaged spots, but the inside packaging prevented the headboard from being damaged. The quality is what what I would expect considering the price. There is at least 4 inches on each side of the mattress...making it too big, plus creating a space. I had put it together, ripped up the box..(it took me a while to even get the parts out of the box), so I could not return it. It is very pretty,but it does not fit a full size mattress...queen , yes. Assembly was fairly easy and did not take more than 20 minutes. From a distance it looks real, but upon closer inspection you can tell it is pressed board with a paper finish..... Hey, for the money, you cannot beat it, I guess, but like I said it is for a QUEEN bed...not FULL.Beaglemum

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/21/2007At least South Shore knows there's a problemI ordered this item Site to Store, which saved on the shipping. Unfortunately, we didn't check it when we picked it up and didn't find it was damaged until we were unpacking it at home. I, too, called South Shore directly and gave the very helpful lady some information. She indicated they know this item is being damaged in the exact same spot (the veneer is rubbed off on the "points" of the scalloping) and are working on how to fix it. She told me she was sending a new one, so I returned the other one to Walmart. However, she only sent the actual piece that was damaged, not the whole headboard. They expected us to disassemble and reassemble the pieces of trim on the headboard. Don't know how easy that would have been. Luckily, I didn't get billed for the new piece. The product needs improvement, but I'm giving the overall experience two stars because both the Walmart associates and the South Shore rep were courteous, patient and helpful. Will do Site to Store again, just not for this item.writermom

We finally figured out that it is not packed correctly from the manufacturer and therefore it leaves dents in the headboard. They are all damaged in the exact same spot. I have given up trying to get a decent one even thouhh I need one to complete my bedroom set. This is just a paper covering over a particle board type material.LakeGirl
