Excellent Personal Audio System for Features
My Sony CFD-S70 CD, Cassette, FM/AM Boombox order arrived on time, in only 2 days. Packaging was excellent, with my new boombox having all of the advertised items included in a sealed new box, never opened before. Immediately, I tested my Sony CFD-S70, and was very pleased with all of the features that were as advertised, and with how well they functioned. The digital display for the tuner, CD and Cassette is very nice. The FM/AM tuner is great in either automatically locating stations, or manually tuning, and digitally showing the stations' ID. I can preset stations for my favorite listening. The unit has a sleep timer, and I can connect optional components to the unit, with an audio in button control. The sound is also great, with a Bass Boost on/off button for my preference. Both the CD and cassette features worked without any problem. The stereo sound through my headphones sounded great. I highly recommend the Sony CFD-S70 for its quality, features, and reasonable price. I've had no problems at all with my order and the unit.

Sony running downhill!
the quality of sony portable CD players must be going down drastically, the one I bought for a similar price in 1990's dollars is far far better in sound. I guess they are doing what a lot of businesses are doing, cutting corners, decreasing quantity, etc. to maximize profit. A real disappointment, tinny and cheap sounding.

    Super Pleased with this unit!!
    Perfect size/weight to haul around and play my old Cd's. No complaint on sound; didn't expect a stereo component quality but I also would add it doesn't disappoint in that regard either. Very pleased!!

    You can trust the name, Sony
    The clearance price at Walmart.com couldnt be beat. I suspect its because the unit has a cassette player, which these days have gone out of favor.
