Perfect
I am a 66 year old woman that mows 2 acres of very thick and usually wet grass. This really gets up the clippings making my lawn look so much better. The handle makes it so I don't have to get off the mower to dump which I appreciate since I dump in an overgrown field. That field has been known to have a copperhead or two so I am happy to stay on the mower.

Worse design
I bought this new and only used a few times I had it on the second to the highest setting. The plastic wheel gear stripped out and now sweeper is junk. Why would you design a plastic gear against a metal gear. The wheel gear should be metal also to prevent immediate breakdown

    The 44" lawn sweeper overall is a great tool for lawn maintenance. Pros - works great, large hopper capacity, sweeps lawn nicely. Cons - large hopper can be difficult to empty when full, metal poles bend easily and hopper design is not an overall good design for it's size capacity.

    Plusses outweigh minuses
    While the sweeper does an exceptional job of picking up pine needles, cones and the small leaves of live oak trees, the thin tubing of the hopper framework easily bent on first use where a bolt was through it. Required reinforcing with larger tubing and redrilling the holes. The large hopper means fewer stops to dump the contents. The pin setting the brush height is so tight, I have to carry a pliers with me to change height to transport mode.

    The only thing I had a question on was were the wheels already oiled? And where was the tow mode lever at? They were not noted in the manual.

    This WORKS great! I love it
    I used my neighbors John Deere lawn sweeper and loved it. I was debating getting one. I am sure most of us are with a big purchase like this. Look, I was blown away at how effective it is at picking up leaves. It has like 12 levels to raise and lower so if your grass is taller you can raise it or if you need to sweep your driveway you can lower very low to sweep the floor basically. Here is the kicker, it is the exact same item as the John Deere item. Every single piece was the same as my neighbors! Just painted orange instead. Guess they have an agreement with each other or something but I trusted the reviews here on Walmart on this item as they were very high and I even went as far to try one out first before just to be sure, and people were right, the reviews are high because it is a great item. Just don't abuse it and beat it up and I believe it will last a long time fit sure. I have about 1 acre of grass to clean up and pulled with both my lawn mower and four wheeler. Thank you for the extremely fast shipping Walmart. Great item. I was able to clean my yard prior to Thanksgiving with family coming and my fescue is super green carpet after picking up the leaves! Hope this helps others. Saving time vs hours and years of blowing leaves…

    I bought this 2 weeks ago. The video was very helpful. No problems assembling. No tools required. The box had never been opened, yet, the product had 2 deep gouges and a boot print. Kinda thought it was funny. Imagining the employee at 5 oclock friday giving it a boot during assembly.

    Not a great first impression
    At first it seemed nice. Paint is scratched but that could have been from retailer. Then when I was mounting one of the brackets I noticed the sheet metal was welded in such a way the holes overlapped... Only way to get the pin through was to drill out the extra metal, so I was then able to put it together. Instructions are pretty poor as well.

    Love it!
    This sweeper is an amazing workhorse. I'm 70 years old and no longer fear raking leave. I'm a little disappointed in the construction, but I admit the price is amazing. The plastic basket was starting to tear from rubbing against metal, but warranty service is great. They sent me a new basket. One other issue is the lower, leading edge. A few times I have hit tree roots and it has bent the edge. I hammered out most of the damage. I don't see it affecting the performance.

    Product arrived a little banged up. Took me about 30-60 minutes to put it together. I set the height and did a test run on the yard. Worked fantastic! I recommend that you do NOT overfill. It makes it difficult to dump. Not impossible just harder than it needs to be. Err on the lesser full side. I was using my sweeper with a large zero turn mower and I could not reach the handle to dump from the tractor. I figured that would be the case but I opted for the steel rod over the rope pull model because I didn't want to deal with the rope getting caught up in the brush. It's bigger than you think!
