Don't make my ears hurt while wearing...
After getting headaches from my $1800 ea. hearing aids from a well advertised company, I quit wearing them. (They continually popped out while eating or talking.) After reading lips and trying to nod and smile at the "right" times (because I had no idea what the person was saying), I happened on these while shopping online at Walmart. After much, much on line research and realizing that I would no longer have to wrap tape or band-aids around them (to try to keep them in) I ordered a pair . I can hear!!!! They stay in place and are so comfortable that I forget that I am wearing them. NO MORE HEADACHES. NO MORE READING LIPS!!! Thanks SimplySoft...

I had high hopes that this very inexpensive in-ear hearing aid would work for me for a few years until I needed something more sophisticated. Unfortunately, I could not get a decent fit with either the slim or regular sizes. I frequently had feedback. They were not comfortable. The only things positive are that they are inexpensive and they do amplify sound improving hearing. If you can afford current technology, then these are worth a try. Walmart gives a very generous unconditional 90 days to try the product.

    Helped my mom who has severe hearing loss.
    I purchased these hearing aids for my mom after she was quoted a price of $3,000 for custom hearing aids. We decided to try these first to see if they worked. At first she got feedback, but then learned that if she pushed them all the way in her ear the feedback would go away. It also took her a few days to get use to adjusting the volume. After that, they've been working great so far. She was surprised because her doctor told her she had severe hearing loss and didn't think a product like this would help. Anyways, it did! She loves them. Its only been a couple weeks so we do not yet know how they will hold up, but we did get the 4 year warranty. The manufacturer's customer service line is also very helpful. I would recommend at least giving these a try if you cannot afford expensive aids. Its great that there is a 90 day money back guarantee.

    Great product for the price
    This is my second set of these. My dog ate the first pair! You learn to put them away at the end of the day. This is an excellent product that is simple to use and does the job of a hearing aid at 4 times the price. I have had no problem with the product at all, and am hearing well and comfortably. I highly recommended you purchase online as there are more choices this way.

    At last, hearing aids you CAN afford.
    I've been wearing h. a. for many years. My last set were from Costco. While they were less than the "normal" cost of 3k-5k and up pricing, they finally stopped working and I just didn't want to pay thousands for another set. Because I recently switched my wholesale buying to Sam's Club, I wanted to see what they had to offer. Bottom line, after talking to a GHI (the manufacturer) rep, who game me the assurance I needed to purchase h.a. for such a low price, I found that Walmart had the same model for an even better price. I'm so pleased with the comfort and sound quality I feel like setting up my own h. a. business and telling everyone who wants the best bang for the buck in hearing aids, to buy what I'm using. I'm just happy that Walmart is making this product available for so many people who don't have to pay thousands of dollars to hear once again, their "turn signal" Please buy these, you'll be pleasantly surprised!

    An Excellent Buy
    For the money, this model is an excellent buy. I am getting the same audio amplification benefits as those costing 4k to 6k. I got the standard or regular size for left ear that has PROFOUND deafness and the fit is excellent, now I am thinking of getting another one for my right since that side has MODERATE hearing loss. If they can come up with a new version of this model where volume adjustment is AUTOMATIC, I will not mind paying the extra cost to have it.

    Suprising Value! No technology sacrifice.
    Having been "in denial" about the hearing loss for several years, I had to admit something wasn't right and scheduled an appointment with an ENT specialist for an exam. That included a complete hearing test with a licensed audiologist at the same clinic. The test verified a 30% hearing loss in my right ear, no problem with the left. I also had an MRI done to confirm nothing was wrong physically (tumors etc.) Knowing I was going to need a device of some kind, I started researching hearing aid companies and products. I saw "Walmart" listed several times and thought "what the heck, I'll take a look." To my surprise the Simply Soft and Simply Slim models have all the latest industry standard digital technology that the "hearing center" brands have. But, they were 3 to 4 times less expensive! During my audiologist visit, I asked her to verify whether I had average or smaller ear canals, and she did indicate mine are very average. I asked this because the Simply Slim model may have been too small if I ordered that one. I selected the Simply Soft, placed the order and was willing to pay the extra $10 for fast shipping. To my surprise, it arrived in 2 days - a day earlier than promised! It comes packaged with everything needed to learn how to use it, clean it, install the included battery, and where to call with questions. I watched the DVD, read through the booklet and carefully inserted my Simlpy Soft in my ear. My new ability to hear in a balanced way was immediate and astonishing! This unit has the 4-position volume control and I keep mine set at the lowest (1 beep) setting. Set at higher levels, it will gather more sound and tends to feed back. touching it to set it back to the #1 level keeps my hearing balanced and I hear things again I didn't know I was missing! I commented with amazement that I didn't know my computer mouse made cliking noises! It takes a little trial and error practice to find the best way to insert the device in the ear, but that becomes routine and very easy to know when you don't have it just right. Once in, it stays put and you barely know it's there all day. For me, as I'm only 62 and still very actively working in a Business Development Management position I enjoy, very few people ever know I'm wearing it. But the ability to hear what I need to completely again has made a hugely positive differnence in my life. This equipment lacks nothing that the $1500 to $3000 units have - except the high-pressure sales pitch that the high-overead, brick-and-morter hearing centers have. I can't recommend this product more highly!

    Loud squeal
    Any movement of jaw or head could cause the aids to squeal. Fit was slightly uncomfortable but maybe could have gotten better if I had worn them a little longer. Actual hearing was improved and except for the almost continual squealing would have probably kept them. Not my first try with hearing aids. I have been wearing them for about ten years so I know what to expect from them. Was going to use these for spare.

    Great hearing aid
    My Simply Soft Smart Touch Performs just as well as hearing aids priced hundreds, if not, thousands of dollars more. I have had high dollar hearing aids before and this performs just as good, if not better, at a fraction of the price. I am well pleased with this purchase and I would recommend it to anyone.

    It is possible that I needed the smaller sized aids because these seemed to fit into my ear canal okay, but they did not go into my ear like the pictures I saw on the website. Also, they only mariginally aided my hearing problem. They amplified my own conversation, but not so much the conversation of others. The main reason I decided to try these aids was that they are sold by Walmart. I knew I could return them if it was necessary. The return process with Walmart was great. I ordered online, but was able to return to my local store.
