love it!
I had an older hearing aid (about 3 years old) and it finally died so I replaced it with this one. I love the longer battery life and the ablilty to just push the button to change the amplification. I am very pleased that the background noise is not an issue like it was with my older hearing aid and I hear much better with this hearing aid as well. This slim model is perfect for my tiny ears. I watched the DVD that came with the hearing aid and was able to wear the hearing aid right away. I have had the hearing aid for over two weeks now and I love it.

Not fit for regular use
I had the pair in for about 2 hours, and found every sound was amplified, very loud even for the lowest volume setting. The high pitched beeping of the device can come up anytime, very annoying, people next to me can hear it. I was planning to use them for my work day, but the performance is well below my expectation.

Works well for one on one conversations
Purchased this for my dad who has a hearing loss. This was to replace a more expensive ($3500 range), hearing aid that he lost. He said it works great when having a one on one conversation or with several people in a quiet room. However, with road noise, inside a store or the TV playing, it really doesn't help at all. He has had it for a few weeks now and is still trying to make adjustments. However, right now he is not pleased with it.

Good if you can't afford other solutions.
I never used hearing aids in my life. This was the very first one. I purchased one to test and see if this would work for me, the first reaction was "WOW I can hear now", it is an amazing sensation when after a lot of years you can hear sounds that you had no idea existed. Unfortunately this device makes a lot of feedback, I tried it even on the lower volume but there is a lot of feedback and is pretty annoying. So, if your options are this device or nothing, then I would say go and buy this hearing aid, you will not be disappointed. In my case, I believe it has to be something a little bit better out there, so I will give it a try now to the Costco hearing aids and see if the difference on money makes any difference on quality or not. If at the end of my testing of different devices, I find out all are more or less the same, then I would order 2 of these and try to get use to that feedback problem. Just to let you know what I'm looking for, I'm looking for the smaller device I can buy, I'm trying to have something that can be barely notice by others.

I am very pleased with my purchase!
I have been experiencing a gradual loss of hearing over the past few years. I finally came to the realization that I needed to see what my options were. In searching the internet for amplification products I came across this product. I read all of the reviews and decided to buy the pair. In my job I deal primarily with older people and a common complaint among them was the high cost of hearing aids....and many people put off addressing their hearing problem because of this...including myself. I commonly hear numbers in the 5 to 6 thousand dollar range being talked about. I would never pay that much either. When I received my product I easily installed the batteries that were incluced and placed each hearing aid in the appropriate ear. I was amazed at the immediate improvement in my hearing. I am impressed with the quality of these hearing aids. They fit comfortably within each ear and are barely visible. They are very easy to use. I wholeheartedly endorse this product to other's in similar situations.

    Excellent for the price
Only issue I have is with the initial feedback when inserting the hearing aid into my ear. But otherwise they are comfortable and work very well with my degree of hearing loss. I had hearing aids that cost me 5000, digital ear molded in the canal aids that popped out when someone hugged me and my ear was jostled which ended up with the case being cracked. The simply slims do not dislodge when jostled or need adjustment when eating. I do think I will have issues with using them on the phone because of the feedback from the handset. Hopefully the telephone pads will work. I like the slim size since I have small ear canals and they fit perfectly.

Great option from the expensive hearing aids
I have moderate hearing loss in one ear. I had two hearing test done after which my hearing aid options were discussed. The least expensive hearing aid (which had some digital programming capability) cost $1,800 for one. This product provides the increased hearing needs at a very affordable price. It is comfortable even as a one size fits all product. I use the first level of the four levels available and my hearing is very good. My family appreciates the betterment and it has helped me in the office environment as well. This has been the best $400 I have spent in quite some time.

    pricy for what you get.
Great packaging. Fast delivery. The cone was too small for my wife's ear canal, kept falling out. the last time it fell out it hit the floor and broke. Returned it to local Walmart without any problems. Now waiting to see if I get a refund, it has only been 5 days.

As advertised, went to Costco for hearing aid test
Figured out what I needed, checked prices, opted for Walmart version, fulfilled my needs....high frequency, small, in-the ear for $400, 200-500 less than even Costco.
