Cheap Frame Broke after 1 Year
I bought this in November 2014 it is December 2015 and the frame is just falling apart.... It is so cheap and I'm upset I did not get more use ... After a few months the mattress becomes flat and the frame begins to bend then next thing you know it just starts breaking.... I used it for guests and use as my living room couch in my small apartment. Worst Futon or couch I have ever paid for....don't get it ... Keep shopping. I am a small person at 5'4 and 115lbs ... So if it is breaking with me then it really not that good.

Please do not purchase!
Before I even start I will answer the obvious question of why I didn't return it. I purchased it in a store as I was on my way out of state, moving, with a U-Haul truck. The item will not fit in my small car to drive 100 miles to the nearest Walmart. When I took the pieces out to put it together two of the metal rods, main pieces that hold it together were so bent that they would not fit together. It took me about an hour with various items including the claw of a heavy hammer to straighten them out enough to get them together and even then the marks from them being crushed (before I bought it) showed. The black coating gone and ugly silver metal showing. It was also missing bolts. 2 if I remember correctly. So I looked around in my spare hardware which luckily I had, and found some that fit pretty well, good enough to do the job. The instructions were a complete joke. Mainly only pictures that were very bad depictions, not real photos, making it impossible to tell which direction most of the parts were supposed to go. I am pretty good at putting things together. I often order furniture that needs assembly so I know it wasn't just me when I had to take this thing apart and put it back together 3 times to get everything in the right direction because of the horrid instructions and the almost impossible to see 'L' and 'R' on the hinge pieces. Also the mattress is so thin that you can feel the frame under you. It would be better off with a mattress topper in place of the so called futon mattress. Actually, that is why I am even on this page now, to look up the dimensions of the mattress, I misplaced my tape measure, so I can purchase a replacement mattress for this futon. I have had it together for almost 3 months and it is not falling apart yet as others have said, but mine isn't used much. However it will be as of next week when I have to start sleeping on it when my mother moves in with me to spend her last Christmas with family. So I really hope it holds up at least a few more months with me sleeping on it. *fingers crossed* I wish I could go back in time and never had made this purchase. Friends don't let friends buy this futon...

    Good Looking Futon
    I love it, but assembly wasn't easy. The holes did not line up evenly to match the screws, nuts and bolts. I really needed that nap when assembly was done.

    VERY POOR excuse for "furniture!"
    I had to order a new futon mattress because this one is all flat & squished out in places, even though I rotated it to try to keep the wear even. I noticed that the metal supports in the frame are breaking apart at the welded spots (from what I count, at least 6 "welded" pieces have broken away). On top of that, something that has gone on ever since I received this piece of junk, the pull handles (to pull the futon into a "bed" position) constantly fall out of the holes they are supposed to be in. (I am wondering if Gorilla Glue will keep them in place, not to mention repairing those broken links.) I noticed that this is supposed to have a 5-year warranty; hoping my family still has the receipt for it because we may just need it!! AVOID THIS FUTON AT ALL COSTS!!!

    Queen size Serta Florence Futon Frame
    Don't be fooled by the picture!! This is just the frame and I guess it is my fault for not reading the description better. I thought thie mattress came with it but it was frame only. I spent $276 for a stupid frame. The store has a futon for $219 that comes with the mattress which I should have taken back to store and exchanged for that one. It is also hard to find a decent priced Queen size mattress.
