Very sturdy
Great frame. A little tedious to assemble but it is very sturdy. Color is actually a dark gray, not silver.

Poor Quality, Not Sturdy.
This frame may have worked for a 1 inch mattress, but I planned on using this as a regular bed and couch for movies. I bought a nice 8" mattress from overstock.com and put it on this frame. The first thing that didn't work were the bars on the seat portion that keep the mattress from sliding, that are only 2" tall, so my mattress slid off until I made a modification. Second, with a mattress thick enough to be comfortable for sleeping, it is VERY difficult to fold for couch mode. Third, the mattress platform and hinges BENT from my converting from bed to couch because of the cheap Chinese steel. Overall I cannot recommend this for anyone hoping to switch this from bed to couch a lot, and don't consider buying a decent mattress.

    Don't buy
    I bought this to use for young grandchildren when they visit 2-3 times a year. The side that is the back is very unstable when in the bed position. It toppled over with a five year old on it. Very scary. The instructions sent were for a different futon. I won't let my grandchildren sleep on this. It's going to the curb with a warning.

    The item came with several scratches and dents on it. The instructions were not written very well so it was very difficult to assemble. We have not used it yet for a bed but with the mattress it is very comfortable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Perfect fit in my Sun Room.
    Frame Very Sturdy .Arms could be a better quality plastic.. When they were delivered they already had a few minor scratches on them.

    A bit misleading
    This frame seems to be sturdy and our thick queen size mattress fits OK on it. Just be aware that the arms are not wood they are metal like the rest of the frame which was disappointing for us but we didn't want to send it back once we had it assembled. It will take you about 2-3 hours to put this together and there are two sets of directions for the arms so use the ones that come in the separate box that the arms are in. We had some damage on the back portion where a couple of metal pieces were not secure.

    Extremely poorly manufactured
    This product was an absolute nightmare to assemble. I am not someone who usually struggles assembling furniture but this frame is just so poorly made its unbelievable. To start, the pieces barely fit together as they were supposed to. On top of that, the screws they sent flat out did not fit with the product, requiring me to go spend an additional $10 at Home Depot. Then the pieces were incorrectly labeled, with left being right and vice verca. After finally getting it properly assembled my assessment is that it's not going to last very long either, there appears to be a dip in the middle. I HIGHLY recommend shelling out the extra $100-200 for a higher quality frame. Do not waste your time with this product.

    Sturdy, easy to fold / unfold
    Just put this together yesterday. The directions were pretty easy to follow. All the parts were included and well labeled. Although I used my own wrench, you don't need your own additional tools to put this together. This frame feels very sturdy and is easy to fold / unfold. I only have 2 little complaints/suggestions: 1) increase the font on the diagrams in the instructions. A little challenging to read some of the letters identifying screws, bolts, etc. 2) A couple of the screw holes in the back and seat frames were not drilled well and didn't line up correctly.
