Awesome BIG TV
This TV is BIG! I'm coming from a 3 year old Vizio 65" model that served me well. The improvements are unparalleled across the board. SIZE...it seems so huge even coming from a 65 Smart functions...all work great and there are so many built in apps / options. Great connectivity, view HDR and 4K content off Netflix and Amazon flawlessly over wifi. Connected direct to home network to access my saved movie library. Picture...quality is so good, it looks like real life, 3d, amazing Sound...sound was quite loud and has good range for built in. Even though I just got this TV at the end of 2016, so it's over a year old model...it is totally amazing and super value.

Got to love it
Great looking TV and picture. Instructions are straightforward. Plan on two people to help set up. For me I like a manual in my hand. The e manual is a good way to get started but I'm sure there's more to it than what is on the screen.

    Love it...
For the price you simply can't go wrong.... I will admit the first day or two I was a bit disappointed with the picture quality, but I did a lot of reading online about the various (suggested) picture settings and combined what I learned to make my own version of what is perfect for me. Now I love everything about the picture quality. Spend some time getting to know to your TV, you'll never know what it's truly capable of until you do. Pros: 4K content looks absolutely amazing... The new UI is very easy to navigate. All your favorite apps are at your fingertips and easy to access. Adding a soundbar or any other Samsung device to complete your home theatre is a breeze. One connect mini box helps keep wires and all sorts of clutter away from the TV. Changing any picture or sound settings is easy using the universal remote which is included. Cons: This has been mentioned a lot, but a 6 foot power cable for a TV this size was obviously an oversight which Samsung will hopefully correct at some point soon.... Some of the more advanced features such as sound connect can be as bit buggy at times, but I used an HDMI cable from my soundbar which quickly resolved this and really made it non-issue for me personally. Not all the advanced features are going to work flawlessly, but I think that can be said about any brand TV. If you keep it simple, and enjoy the TV without many of the advanced bells and whistles, you won't be disappointed.

    Awesome upgrade!
I upgrade from a 1080p Samsung Led 3D TV, and then I purchased this one. I am amazed at how beautiful the 75' 4K UHD 3D TV upscales my 1080p blu-ray content to near 4K. Awesome TV! ALL OF MY ELECTRONICS ARE SAMSUNG....THE BEST IN THE TECH BUISNESS!!!

    Great picture
I wanted to upgrade my family room tv. I did my research and decided on this model. The delivery was great, brought into the house and into the family room. Tv was nicely packed. Assembly was easy 8 screws attaching base. Setup was surprising easy. Still not used to the remote, so far not a fan. Need to use the cable box remote..much better design. Picture is super, great to watch movies on. I added a sound bar, but feel tv speakers adequate in most instances

    Very nice TV
We bought this to replace a 9-year-old plasma set and are very happy with our purchase thus far. Great picture and extensive features. I am still playing around with the various settings, but I used some online suggestions to set the picture so it looks good. It connected easily and integrates well with my 6-year-old Blu-Ray home theater system even that is from another manufacturer. I'm still exploring all this set has to offer.

    WOW!!!! oh the reaction
Being my initial update, I must advise of the past few days owning this beautiful piece of equipment. WOW!! Let me start and finish by summing it up this way...... I should preface with my credentials, or lack theerof for this review:. I have bought approximately 10 tv;s y (or projectors) in my 20 years with my darling wife. Summary: this is the 1st TV that my wife has NOT yelled, made me sleep in spare room or bought something shiny immediately after the purchase. No other way to spell it out folks. :) cheers, its ridiculously sweet!

Teething problems and fixes to them from a non-techy.
I've had the 75” Samsung 7100 for about four weeks now. This television is quite stunning and even after a month I am taken aback by how amazing the picture is. That is not to say everything went smoothly initially. I found other reviews helpful so thought I would add my experiences and more importantly how I overcame them. People had previously quoted other issues with apps and TV switching off but whether the firmware has been upgraded or something else, I have had no trace of anything like that. I had the following four issues: Audio synchronization Picture judder Getting apps like Netflix to play through the home theater system Glossy Screen I am not a technical geek and so I can't answer the technical questions but I can tell you how I got past these problems. First of all, my setup is cable (Comcast) directly into my TiVo DVR, HDMI connect to home theater system and HDMI connect from home theater system to TV. Audio Synchronization This did not become immediately apparent because it seemed to affect different channels differently which was confusing. I called Samsung who concluded that if some channels were worse than others then it is the cable company who needs to do a box reset. A Comcast engineer came out and spent an hour checking everything and actually did a good cleanup of our cable system under the house, replacing old pieces of cable, removing any kinks etc. This actually improved our internet speed but had no impact on the synchronization. This issue is actually caused by the audio being processed faster than the picture. The TV does have an audio delay setting in menu – sound- additional setting – audio delay. Unfortunately adjusting this had no impact. I then connected the TiVo directly to the TV and this removed the issue completely meaning the problem was in the home theatre's processing of the signals. The home theatre receiver also had an audio delay feature and adjusting that setting has 99% fixed the problem. The only thing not perfect is a few channels (BBC America, Discovery and HGTV) where there is still a slight although almost imperceptible delay. I cannot understand why these 3 channels would be different to all the others! Picture Judder In previous TV's I have had motion control issues where, when watching sports the picture could not smoothly follow the action. In this case, in normal programs, the picture would occasionally judder. The TV does have motion control feature, (there are a number of settings, including smooth). I tried them all with no solution but for whatever reason, turning motion control off solved the problem completely for normal TV and sports look just fine. Getting apps like Netflix to play through the home theater system. Although I normally watch all TV through TiVo, including Netflix, I found that the Netflix app on the TV is far superior. However, when I tried to use it, I got no sound from my home theater system, only from the TV itself. The answer is an optical audio cable from the TV to the home theater system. The main thing is, it works perfectly and it was a cheap fix but I thought that HDMI 2 cables were supposed to have addressed that so that you no longer need an optical cable. Glossy Screen I have a very bright sunny room, with the walls adjacent to and opposite the TV mostly glass. Previously I had specifically bought a matte LCD TV to deal with that (Sharp Equos) and it did. This TV has a glossy screen and no matter what the reviews say, the reflections are a big issue and one that was big enough to make me question my choice. I found out however that all current high performance sets have glossy screens. Some of the LG's and Sony's are slightly less glossy but nevertheless suffer from the same problem. No technical answer here but simple, relatively inexpensive blinds on the windows opposite the TV (the adjacent wall windows turned out not to be a problem) and the issue is gone. I preferred being able to watch TV without the blinds but it is a perfectly acceptable solution. If anybody has any ideas on the bits I don't understand, I would appreciate their input.
