Not what I expected
Description states "Access streaming content with the Samsung BD-J5100 Wi-Fi Blu-ray Disc Player." Mine did NOT have Wi-Fi. We kept it anyway and ran a cord. It is just an "ok" player. It freezes from time to time while streaming and I have to unplug it completely when it does that. It does its job for the most part though. 1 star because of the lack of Wi-Fi.

    Very nice player!
    Easy to use. Coordinates with my curved Samsung TV. No wireless but easy to hook up to cable box via LAN cable. Cable is not required to play DVD/Blu Ray discs, just online content like Netflix. If you have stuff like that on your tv you don't need the LAN cable. Very happy with purchase!

    It's a good Blu-Ray player, but....
    Samsung forgot one very important feature on this Blu-Ray CD player. Why they failed to put the little LED light on the front of this unit that lets you know if the power is on or off, is beyond me! They clearly dropped the ball when they forgot this important feature, that's pretty much a given on any other piece of electronic equipment you buy. Like I said, it's a good Blu-Ray player but come on, it couldn't cost much to put a simple on/off indicator light on the front of it!

    Good Blu-ray player
    Plays dvd and Blu-ray discs good. Have not tried any home recorded ones yet. Easy to hook up. One hdmi cable and plug in the power cord. The one thing I really do not like about this player is there is no light on it indicating that it is turned on... I don't know if it does not have one or if mine just doesn't work... We have a Samsung tv also and the Blu-ray player remote controls limited functions on the tv too. All in all we are happy with it. It would be tough to beat for the price! Bought it site to store and Walmart's service was excellent!

    great product but bad shipping
    This is a good product. I was very up set with how it was shipped. I purchased it for my daughter for Christmas. When it arrived it was placed on our porch in its orginal box with the pictures of the contents on the side. My daughter was the one who retrieved it off of the porch. Very disappointed that her Christmas suprize was ruined. Buyer beware if it ships to you, it sitting on your porch for all to see in its original box. Glad I was home when it was delivered or someone could have stolen it off my porch.

    Can't even tell if it's on...
    There's no "on/off" light so you have to keep hitting the power and eject buttons to know when its even active because it takes so long to show up on the screen. This is a pain. You also cant download any apps, and the remote is a pain to use for youtube. Also, freezes even with the best internet connection.
