So far so good , Haven't used the cloning yet I like the on off switch better then the last one I had (The on off switch broke on my last one ) That is the whole reason I purchased this one also the name brand Sabrent is a brand I trust

    Love it. Great purchase.
    Works great right out of the box. Includes instructions booklet that is very helpful and easy to understand. This Sabrent hard drive dock can even clone drives for you without the need for a PC. I really bought this to recover files from a hard drive I removed from an old home PC and I was able to do that the first time I tried with the aid of this Sabrent device. The price I paid to own this item is less than I would have paid a technician to recover the data for me. I'm thankful I purchased and would gladly recommend.

    This worked exactly as I hoped it would. Read the instruction book, and within an hour I have cloned my failing hard drive and have installed it in the computer. No hard drive problems since then. Be sure that if you are cloning from a smaller SSD to a larger one that you fix the partition in the larger clone SSD in order to access the entire drive. Otherwise it appears the same size as the smaller faulty drive.

    Do NOT use without a fan if you have hard drives
    The problem with ALL brands of this device is that they don't think about what happens when you plug a hard drive of 2 into them. The term French Fry comes to mind. Both of the drives I had plugged into mine got so hot they stopped working. thankfully, they weren't destroyed, they just need to cool down. I bought a $10 usb fan to blow air past them and it works fine. But, the manufacturers of these things need to install cooling fans so people don't lose ALL their data when a hot hard drive bricks.

    No complaints. It is a good product with a solid performnce record and did exactly what I needed it to do. I have had zero problems with it and it does everything it said it could do. I would definitely buy it again especially for the price

    worst customer service ever
    Very long story short: received a defective unit and dealt with several different people via email and phone. Had to diagnose the item twice and did so on three different computers. The tech on the phone (after diagnosing the thing for the second time) said they were sending me a replacement unit but didn't. When I inquired about it they started me jumping through hoops again. I wasted $300 of my time and they have probably wasted $100 of their time on a $30 unit that costs $10 to make in China. The last thing I was told is that I am now required to go out and mail the unit to them and ONLY AFTER they receive it (in California!) will they send me a replacement. That would cost more of my time than the thing is worth. My StarTech Docking Station came in today. No problems at all. Lesson learned that will be shared. Sabrent sold me a defective product and wasted over a week of my time on top of it.

    Solid dock for the money
    I had several old SATA drives around the house and figured I would try a dock and get some use out of them. I like this product. Easy setup, quiet. Although the hard drives can get a bit toasty while connected. Worth the price.
