Straight Talk Home is better than my old landline!
I had been searching for a while for a way to have consistent home phone service without my landline since the company servicing the landline was not consistent in its quality of service. After reading reviews online about Straight Talk Home Phone, I decided to cut the cord and hooked up the new system to my multi-handset cordless phone set and it has been working efficiently and smoothly for the past 2 months! When I have needed to talk to the tech support during the porting of my home phone number, they were very helpful and clear in their instructions about what would happen. I heartily recommend this system as long as the customer lives in an area code that offers the wi-fi service on which it depends.

Paid $15 and no phone service.
You sold me a card that won't work with the cellphone you sold me. Tried internet to activate it, then tried calling. Each time I was told the card plan would not work with phone.

Overall a decent set up at a great price
I bought this as a potential replacement for my Vonage service. It's so expensive (feature rich however) so I thought I would give this a whirl. It seemed to work but a turn off for me is that unlike Vonage, it's 911 service isn't prepopulated so that a dispatcher will know your location. This unit however is impressive. It has a huge antenna and gets a good signal. It also has what reminds me of the type of rechargeable battery in a cordless phone. Therefore, if the power goes out, and you have a phone that doesn't require electricity, you'd still be able to make a call. I'm also thinking about checking out Walmart's Basic Talk Service.

An ideal replacement for our landline phone.
We were looking to reduce the cost of our landline phone service. Found the "Straight Talk wireless Home Phone" to be the cheapest alternative available. It is basically a cell phone built into a base unit that you plug your home phone into. Some cell phone companies sell similar units but their monthly charges are higher. Simple setup right out of the box. In our case we plugged the unit into an empty phone wall jack and it powers all the existing phones in the house (you have to disconnect the phone line coming into the house). Activated the account over the internet and "ported" over our existing phone number. That took about 2 days. Then cancelled the existing phone service. The switchover was seamless. Results: Easy setup: Kept our phone number; Sound quality is the same; Cut our phone bill by 60%. Just make sure you have a strong cell phone signal at your house.

    Not for senior citizens!
We purchased this plan for my 90 year old grandmother. (Verizon was pulling the landlines from her building.) The plan worked with her cordless phones--when the person making an outgoing call was quick enough to enter the 10 digit phone number in the alloted time. My grandmother was getting a prerecorded message about not being able to complete the call before she got to the last 4 digits. So we bought her a corded phone. That gave her a little extra time to complete her dialing, but it still isn't enough. And--the voicemail picks up on the 4th ring. This system is just not senior friendly.

Straight Talk Wireless $15 Plan-Email Delivery
The service is great considering I was paying $40.00 for local calling. I had no caller ID and no long distance. Now I pay less than $20.00 a month with all the features and more. I ordered the card and it arrived within 20 minutes. After inputing the code on the Straight Talk website my service was ready for another 30 days. I highly recommend this service if you want to save money.

    Straight Talk Home Phone
The first one I bought had malfunction problems, But I took it back & it was replaced & since that time It's been very good, call quality is acceptable compared to other products ive tried and for the money I recommend it, there is only one problem I noticed, if you use a cordless phone the transmission will interfere with the reception of the Straight receiver, sometimes giving an echo sound, But if you use a hard wired home phone its very clear. Also before you Buy make sure it will work in your area, & if it does you will be pleased

    It is thru Verizon
Verizon doesn't work in our area. I drove 25 minutes one way to get this product and it didn't work. I think it should be advertised this product is thru Verizon. If you ever hook up with ATT I will buy it again. I wanted to use it for a land line. I had even purchased the "box" for the home phone. Again I was greatly disappointed when I saw it was thru Verizon.

This product is the best offer I have ever had.
This is the best home phone provider that I have ever come across. The provider that is offered through Walmart is the most affordable plan for a low income family to have with unlimited calling and all the features. Other providers just don't seem to care that most families on a budget can not afford the high prices they are offering and the bill just keeps getting higher. I am very happy to have found this phone service and can keep my service on and uninterrupted every month because the cost is so low.

    cheapest home phone option around.
this is a great option for seniors, those on a limited income, or just about anyone who is interested in saving a buck wherever they can. The initial layout of $100 for the modem might be stiff to some, but the savings every month are INCREDIABLE ! ! Where else can you get UNLIMITED service AND UNLIMITED LONG DISTANCE for $15 ! ! !
