Just what I wanted
I hade an old shredder that made strips, but this one is more effective as it makes confetti so if anyone did want to put it together it would be a lot harder. I guess nothing is impossible with enough time and determination.

expectations
Somewhat disappointed- not too noisy BUT does not shred 8 sheets. I did 4 at the time and it seems to be the limit. I kept it since it was a gift.

    Royal 8 Sheet Cross Cut Shredder
    I had a larger size of the exact same shredder that was on wheels which I prefer. This one literally fits perfectly inside the old device's wheeled basket so I can still 'wheel' it around. Very effective at shredding and I would recommend it as a very inexpensive alternative to other shredders. Screened basket retains the shredded materials. Does not shred credit cards.

    I really like this shredder. When papers are shredded, the pieces look like confetti. There's no way anyone can steal your identity. Kudos to Royal for making a good product and an affordable one.

    has trouble with a credit card envelope....
    8 pages at one time is quite a stretch...more like 4. Looks nice. I would have purchased a more powerful one but not bad for price and features

    Gets the job done
    Didn't exactly look as it did on the picture. You can't tell that the bottom piece is see through. Overall its a great shredder it gets the job done.

    Nice shredder
    I was looking for a small, convenient shredder and one that wasn't black. This fits the bill nicely. Lightweight and fairly quiet. I like the mesh basket, as I can now see when it is full and needs to be dumped out. Unit comes well packed and easy to get up and running. I like this shredder.

    Nice basic shredder
    Grocery bags fit well over the screen basket making disposing of shreddings easy with little mess. Shreds paper fast with average noise. Wish it had a CD/DVD shred capability.
