Sticky coating
I ended up returning this because the coating was sticky. I was surprised because I have used Revlon curling irons for years and have always been happy with them. Perhaps it was a defect on just this particular iron.

    Disappointing
    I repurchased this curling iron after the same model gave out after several years of use. After using for about 6 months, the black starting melting off barrel and left flakes in my hair. I tried to return but it was beyond Wal-Mart's 90-day return policy. Will not be buying again.

    great curling iron!
    I am very pleased with the Revlon ceramic curling iron. And the purple color is delightful! The iron holds the hair firmly and provides great curls.
