REVLON KISS exfoliating balm(for lips)
this review is for the REVLON KISS EXFOLIATING BALM for lips. this balm has a sugar scrub within it to use as the exfoliator and hydration. this particular flavor is SUGAR MINT which also has mint included in the balm. the balm is encased in a solid hard plastic lip stick like holder with a clear cover that is kept in place by pressure for quick and easy application. when first applying the lip balm, you slowly rub this balm over your lips so that it gives it time to lightly melt as you slide it. it will feel slightly rough,but that is the sugar in the balm acting as the exfoliator(similar to soft sand paper). after several seconds, then the mint cooling sensation begins. be aware that there are some fruit seed oils and petroleum inside this lip balm, so if you have a sensitivity to any citrus or other fruits, or even mint, read the ingredients on the package. the petroleum is thick and along with the parrafin wax gives this balm a longer lasting affect on the skin. the sugar crystals take longer to melt and gives your lips a sweet flavor. the directions tell you to follow up with your lip color for a finished look, but really, all you need with this balm is going all natural. after the sugar is done, the petroleum is still on the lips protecting them from the elements and working on any chapped lips as well, giving them a smooth clean look.

Although this product will indeed work to exfoliate lips, I can't see it catching on long term. The tube is quite boring to look at and there is zero color to this balm. When you apply it to your lips it has a drag as you feel the sugar crystals scraping across your lips. They are tightly packed into the balm and will indeed exfoliate, but I am not sure it's a feeling I want to feel often. Also, since it is sugar it makes one want to lick your lips a lot which made me feel odd about consuming lip balm like that. I know we eat our lip sticks but this makes it too obvious. That being said, the balm, once the sugar is licked away is pretty good. Not sticky, not greasy. Just a nice smooth balm. I don't foresee applying over through out the day. I think lips would get sore. This might be a once daily application. If only it came in a prettier tube with a hint of tint. One tube of this will last a long time due to the once or twice daily use.

    Great Scrub or Balm for your Lips
    I don't wear lipstick much if ever. So I just needed a chapstick or lip balm that would soften and moisturize all day, one that wouldn't be shiny or sticky, and one that wouldn't need to be reapplied often. I chose this because I've used lip exfoliants before so I know how great they work. I hoped this product would live up to my previous experience. And it did. This was a surprisingly great item. The first use I massaged my lips and the results were immediate. All the dead, dry skin on my lips began to rub off. And it was a lot. The next time I wore it I found I didn't have to massage my lips. They were much more soft and plump. I'm not a fan of the ingredients, but all in all this is a functional lip balm. It works well to exfoliate or simply soften dry lips.

    Tasty and softening
    Lately I have had dry chapped lips everyday. I was going to give this to my grand daughter but I decided to see for myself if it worked on my crusty ole' lips. I was very pleased with the sweet smelling fragrance that continued for several hours while my lips were softening. I was really happy for the great job this exfoliating balm did to restore the softness to my lips. The big plus was that the next day my lips remained soft and sweet smelling. I really think this is a big hit for Revlon

    Effective and satisfying
    During winter time, more than any other time, my lips get prone to drying out and eventually cracking if left untreated. I decided to try out this new and intriguing lip balm, as it claims to exfoliate, instead of just hydrate and I have always felt that exfoliating leads to better hydration of the skin. Also the container and product presentation look attractive to me and mint is quite possibly the most agreeable flavor to anyone anywhere. The texture is that of sugar crystals. The sweet scent and flavor of the mint is something I found to be very appealing to me. It feels oddly satisfying to use, more so than other lip balms. It is incredibly easy to use, compared to actual exfoliating treatments, no waiting time, no 3 step process etc. You literally just apply it on like any regular lip balm with a convenient stick, same way as lipsticks. The sugar crystals melt instantly, so you're not left with an unpleasant gritty feeling. I found it to be very effective, as the hydration lasts for hours, until I eat or drink. Many other lip balms that claim to be effective not only don't help, but actually dry you out terribly. I always worry about non-effective balms when trying a new balm. This one definitely passed the test, as it keeps the promise to hydrate for a long time and is so pleasant to use. Based on my experience, I found it to be most effective when used right after brushing teeth in the morning and evening and also very nice to use after meals, to replenish moisture when needed. This is now my new favorite lip balm and will likely buy again.

    Revlon Kiss Exfoliating Lip Balm
    I absolutely LOVE Revlon Kiss Exfoliating Lip Balm. I was a little apprehensive at first because you can feel the grit of the sugar crystals while applying the lip balm, but once my apprehension dissipated it felt good going on. It also tastes good (I inadvertently licked my lips) and smells great! The sugar crystals eventually melt into your lips leaving behind a nice gloss. I can feel a tingly sensation from the mint once the exfoliating lip balm has been applied to my lips. My lips felt soft, smooth, and hydrated all-day long. I use my Revlon Kiss Exfoliating Lip Balm every morning after I brush my teeth and will continue to do so until it's time to buy a new tube.

    Tastes and works Terrific
    Sugar mint exfoliating lip balm?? I wasn't sure what to expect. The result is amazing and surprising. The second the tip touched my lips I was immediately freaked out. It felt like a lip balm with sand in it scrubbing across my dry lips. I wanted to quickly rub it off but trying to be objective I rubbed my lips together. The sugar crystals immediately melted and the more I rubbed my lips together the softer and smoother they felt. Of course I rubbed it off and immediately tried it again but with more enthusiasm. My lips softened and smoothed leaving the dryness a thing of the past. Chapped winter lips gone for good. That's a miracle in itself but the flavor is sweet and fresh too. I immediately searched for my husband for a kiss. I am very pleased with the results and the quality of the product. Makes wearing lipstick over dry lips possible. I will use this often if I can find it after my daughter tried it. ( she also proclaimed it a miracle) I Might be buying her one, just to get mine back. For dry or chapped lips I have never found anything that works so well.

    Yummy Minty and Smooth
    I am enjoying the feeling that the Revlon KISS balm gives my lips, its the BALM!! I have used some Revlon products before but until I received this for a Walmart review I did not know this exsisted. In the winter your lips can dry out really bad these exfoliating sugar crystals in this balm smooth away all the chapped, peeling from your lips. The balm leaves your lips soft and holds a for a long time. Its a little bigger than a chap stick. At the bottom it has a silver area you twist to roll up and distrbute more balm onto your lips. It has a light mint smell and good taste if you're a lip licker. The balms tip has a curve that makes for easier application. The top of the tube is clear and firmly stays on, which I like so it doesn't get messed up in your purse. I would definately recommend this as a lip healer to have in your on the go bag at all times!

    Love this lip balm!
    I just received the 0.09 oz Revlon Kiss Exfoliating Lip Balm in the Sugar Mint flavor and love it! I was pretty excited to use this product and was not disappointed! I love when you first put the lip balm on your lips you feel the little sugar crystals but after a while they start to dissolve and leave a great glossy feel. I also love the fact that this product is really a two-in-one product! You get the lip exfoliation and the lip balm! My lips feel amazing when I use this product. I know during the harsh, cold winters my lips get dry, chapped and start to peel a lot. I've used lip exfoliators in the past and when I'm done using the product, I have to wipe it off because it's really grainy and gross feeling. Not this product!! This lip balm goes on clear which is awesome because you can use it with any of your lipsticks or lip stains! You could also use this lip balm on its own. It really is versatile. The smell of this lip balm is great too. It's like a minty cupcake and when you lick your lips after first applying you get some of the sugar crystals in your mouth and it tastes great too! I really can't say enough good things about this product! You just need to get it and try it yourself!

    A little sticky, but works!
    I never heard of a lip exfoliant like this before and was curious. It's minty or pepperminty and you can't even see it on. Invisible application basically. It goes on just like chapstick and lasts a long time!! The sugar crystals disappear (or rather, melt away) in about ten to fifteen minutes. The “chap stick” part lasts hours on my lips. The minty smell/taste goes away pretty quickly, which is disappointing... Or maybe I'm used to it. The first negative is It's also sticky, which isn't my favorite part. HOWEVER, When I wipe it off, my lips are very soft. The second negative is I've only used it a handful of times and I feel like it won't last very long. You know how chapstick lasts years?? This stuff probably won't. It “goes down” pretty fast. Other than those couple complaints, I actually like it!
