Love it!!
I really like this product! It lets me know of red light cameras as well as traffic delays, and you can even look for places to get, get gas and shop!!! I just wished I had bought it sooner!

Very disappointed...
I've delayed this review on purpose so that I could report on the experiences I had over a few weeks after beginning to use the device. The GPS unit worked well for the first six weeks or so that I used it then began to shut down unexpectedly while plugged in to the car charger/power supply. I contacted the company per instructions about seeking support for a refurbished item and communication and support from their side has been very poor. After a few attempts to email them I finally received a reply and was instructed to fill out a questionnaire describing the problem, which I did and returned it to them. I have heard nothing after returning the questionnaire despite several follow up attempts. The only viable way to reach the company is through email because their phone system is virtually useless. I have figured out a "work around" to enable some use of the device but this is not what I expected to have to do for the price I paid. Based on my experience I would advise readers of this review to beware of buying a GPS unit from Magellan.

    Refurb Magellan SmartGPS gets you there
    I've only had the opportunity to use this unit twice - however once was in the Dallas Metro Plex area and if you've ever driven there, well you know. It kept me out of pay to drive lanes - no small feet in Dallas, and it got me to and from airport, hotel, and business site with ease - and all for less than a map upgrade to the unit it replaced - Bonus, it comes with lifetime map updates. No need to look elsewhere.

    ready to return GPS
    Disappointed. This system does not work properly all of the time. I plan to return it. battery remain weak. Will not charge using adapter.

    Refurbished Magellan GPS
    I was really surprised by this product especially since it was a refurb. I used it to go to the beach and it was flawless. It put me right on the spot each and every time. And all the extra features are outstanding. I would recommend this product to anyone.

    It has not worked for me as yet It came without, car power charger, and additionally does not allow me to register. I made a mistake buying refurbished unit. Unless they correct this mess, the unit goes back. BH

    Not so smart
    I received this quickly from Walmart. So far I'm not impressed, and will be returning it. The Bluetooth won't pair with any mobile's I've tried (not found). The WiFi is pretty slow too, but could save using your data plan. The Smart part requires a huge download! It took several attempts to get the app loaded on my mobile, and it's not very intuitive. The screen is a nice glass, but reflects everything! It doesn't dim enough for night driving either (even on the lowest night time setting). I'm sending it back.

    nice price and great deal
    This GPS is nice and the price is excellent. Since it is refurbished it is in just like new condition. At first I didn't think the traffic updates worked. It turned out I was using the data cable and a generic adapter to run the GPS in my car. I swapped it out with the car charger that came with the unit and a few minutes later I was receiving traffic updates. At this price you really can't go wrong, especially since I paid the few bucks to get the extended warranty. I have used an extended warranty with Wal-Mart in the past and they have honored it with no problem. The unit was way cheaper than I could find online. You really can't go wrong.

    Very cool product!
    I love the way that it connects up with my Smartphone. My wife and I are always fighting over where to go for dinner, but the Yelp reviews box really helps us out, and has even showed us a few new places! I also really like how it shows the lowest Gas prices around me. I love it!
